If you DO wear your Watch to bed, you don't need to do a single thing. AutoSleep will track your sleep & quality and send you a notification in the morning.
Even if you don't wear your Watch to bed, AutoSleep can track your time in bed. It's extremely simple.
If you DON'T wear your Watch to bed, then simply take your Watch off before you go to sleep. As soon as you touch your iPhone or put your Watch back on in the morning then AutoSleep will know that you have finished sleeping.
As everyone is a little bit different. AutoSleep provides a simple setup wizard and an option to tweak if you are a very restless sleeper.
If you wear your Apple Watch to bed*, AutoSleep will also analyse your sleep quality. By using time asleep, restlessness, time awake and heart rate it can score the quality of your sleep and provide you with a comprehensive nightly analysis.
*Note. If you do not wear your Watch to bed, AutoSleep simply captures the amount of time sleeping.
AutoSleep also works with HeartWatch our premier heart & activity monitoring app and writes your Sleep information to Apple Health.

iOS 13, WatchOS 6. Auto dark, light mode setting option. Environmental noise on sleep session graph (requires Series 4 or higher). New detailed export option in settings. You can read more in "What's New" on the settings tab. 6.3.1 - Small fix on the welcome screen for people that have native dark mode enabled. It changed the text to white on white. This made things somewhat hard to understand. Now back to the huge HeartWatch update for December!

This is a great App. The level of detail it provides along with endless customisability is outstanding. The auto features are good and can be readily used with little to no input from the user - if that is what you want. I think it’s greatest downfall is it’s greatest strength. The App is too complex because of its in-depth detail. If it had a Novice mode which gave you 1-3 simple metrics and if you can then add features as your knowledge grows it would have suited me better. It would also help to de-clutter the App as well. Still despite its complexity it is unparalleled and I suspect I will not ditch it until Apple produces their in house version - which I suspect will address my needs better.
I am still learning how to use this app, but I know when I have mastered it I will enjoy it more and find it very useful. I purchased the bundle which for the price is well worth it. This is a five star app.
Really enjoying this app and the insight that it gives me. I find the sleep debt metric particularly helpful in keeping an eye on how well I’m sleeping.
I’ve struggled with my sleep for years and now I’m finally able to track it accurately. Since I’ve been tracking it, I’ve been sleeping better.
I’ve tracked my sleep via Fitbit for several years, but this app is absolutely more informative. My only problems with it are due to the limitations of the Watch battery, which sometimes result in my delaying sleep in order to charge. I am on a pacemaker, so my sleeping heart rate is not normal, but despite this the measurements received correlate well with my sense of good/bad sessions and encourage me to adjust my habits to improve the ratio.

It keeps track of how well I sleep and gives me quite a bit of information on the quality of my sleep. I am keen on making sure I get enough sleep and find the a great way to monitor this.
Good app, I bought the bundle with the sleep, heartmate, & alarm. No problems so far. Accurate when tested against other hr sensor apps & hardware.

I find this app super useful not just in daily life but especially when I am flying from one side of the world to the other and use sleep meds etc. Knowing how much deep sleep you got helps to judge your preparedness better and track and adjust your sleep aid program.
I love this app! I noticed a friend uses it to good effect and thought I’d try it. It has given me the awareness that I need to get to bed earlier and sleep longer to achieve enough deep sleep and therefore increase my readiness to face the next day. Very interesting!!
