Before the goats arrive to the farm we need to be sure our pastures are safe for them... and to do so we try out a new app called PlantSnap to identify the weeds.
With the launch of iOS 12 we are excited to bring you a fresh new look and a handful of new features: • Auto-detection of flowers and leaves for seamless recognition (iOS 12 required). No more framing your snaps - just tap one of the detected plants and have it identified in the blink of an eye. • Learn about plants in Augmented Reality! • Our brand new explore screen, where you can check the map for nearby plants. • A fully redesigned login/register screen with great improvements to known issues. • A brand new Inbox where you will see all notifications for the snaps you sent for manual identification. • The User and More tab are now combined in one, for easier and more intuitive navigation. • An overall update to the app design. And that's all coming with an update to our plant database, which now has over 585,000 species and an update to our identification algorithm, which will now bring you even better results! I purchased PlantSnap and of maybe 15 or 20 known species it got one (ivy) correct. In even misidentified popular flowers.
If like me, your “thumbs” 👍 aren’t green, this is a must.😀 Billy D

I have just bought and tried this app for the first time and must say that I am very impressed with its accuracy. Okay so I did only test it on the plants that I have growing in my apartment, which to be fair are popular, commonly grown species. The results however spoke for themselves with the PlantSnap app having correctly identified ALL SIX plants namely a ZZ plant, a Dracaena fragrans, a Ctenanthe amabilis, a Ficus elastica, an Aloe vera plant and an African mask plant. Well done to the developers. I look forward to using PlantSnap to help me identify more obscure, rarely encountered plants in the field. Fingers crossed I am successful.
Let me down once identified over 23 plants for me 11/10
This was pretty much my experience with the app as well. It tried to tell me our lilac bush was Eastern Poison Ivy! It did seem to correctly identify honeysuckle. I think if a plant is flowering this app would be useful, but if you are just going off leaves then you probably won't have much success.
Is it supports mi 4😃😃

I agree 100% with your comments regarding technology. Using your cellphone isn't a "hipster" move in my opinion. You're learning your property, and any tool to help you learn is worthy! We bought a house with substantial flower gardens. The cellphone/internet has been invaluable for us to figure out exactly what we have so we can learn to care for them
Chuck Norris single handedly roundhouse kicked the butt of every player, coach, waterboy and fan of the Florida State University Seminoles football team. They are now known as the Semiholes.
Finds some plants and not others.
Does help if you move to a new country!
I was dubious about this so took a pick of my pear tree and BAM it identified it
Good job!. Well, for more information about this app ( from users) I suggest everyone to have a look to my video PlantSnap review extraofficial , I share my frustrating experience with this app and the way the “experts” assistants are dealing with the complaints I was reporting. Save yourself the money and more important save your time and nerves.

Thanks for this information. I will be doing the same right away.
Our lives are the only meaningful expression of what we believe and in Whom we believe. And the only real wealth, for any of us, lies in our faith.
