Good appI wanted an app for my houseplants. I trialed some of the plant apps out there and decided to stick with this one because: - Very accurate! Some apps gave me totally inaccurate plants or I wouldn’t get a hit while I always get the result I wanted with this. - Comprehensive. Gives a ton of information on most (common ones), including diseases. Some of the plants lack a bit more info than others. - Personal. You can take notes (like a diary), rename your plants and set reminders for yourself for watering and fertilizing. Since it hits the top three thing I need, I’m quite happy with it. However, there are thing that I think can be improved: - Toxicity. Almost NO info on whether plants are toxic to animals or humans, which is a key thing I look for in a plant. You either have to scroll to the FAQ section and see if they provide the info, or you have to separately Google it. - Icons. Lots of information, so might be nice to have some icons that sum up key info (like toxicity, indoor/outdoor, interesting tidbits (air purifier) etc), similar to NatureID (which was a close second for me) - Reminders. Only watering and fertilizing reminders available, which is a little limited for my need. Would be nice to have other options. Not goodSo I just clicked on the same plant 3 times in a row and got 3 different answers. How is this supposed to be helpful in identifying plants. Lots of Room for ImprovementThe plants recognition is not as precise as I like it to be! Thanks for google finding me the correct name for my plants and at least the system allows me to rename my plants. I can understand the photo taken for the the plant recognition system to work depending on light, angle, distance of the shot ect but it could be better. I also understand lots of people have their ornamental plants or succulent mostly indoor or anywhere that suit the plants. I wish this app also provides guidance on deterrence from stopping animals eating my plants! As most of my plants are outside of the house, some succulent get fully decimated and consumed by Deers or Wallabies. Also understand this may only applicable to some cases to some households.
