Scanner Pro Reviews (20)
I need this for android where can I find it?
Send to fb?
Use it everyday.
Well I’ve read the other reviews and they are good and bad. It seems it was great but updates have caused some issues. I’m going to give it a go and then update my review. My first question after my first go is: why is the message about holding it steady to avoid distortion - upside down? 🤭. Trying to read it meant it was unsteady and therefore wouldn’t scan lol 😅
I used to love Scanner Pro, I used to rave about it to my friends and I used it a lot. I went on a mission to back things up and have a good clear out and Scanner Pro was doing it for me, and it was backing it up automatically to my OneDrive. It was brilliant!! So what’s happened? Who knows. Now, it’s distinctly average, bordering on crap. It struggles to recognise the inside divide of a page, it crashes...a lot, it heats my phone up and drains the battery, It can’t find my OneDrive, it constantly tries to find my OneDrive, it has generated two folders within my OneDrive, the retake button is still way too close to the delete button, if I try to retake page 76 it will crash back to page 23 so I have to scroll all the way forward again to continue checking if my pages have scanned ok. In the space of one update it was ruined. To be fair, I did email the Scanner Pro team and explained my problems and I did receive a prompt response from them but their suggestions didn’t ever fix the issues and all I got was the same answer. I will now be doing my research and will be leaving Scanner Pro for something else as I believe, and the reviews indicate, that there is better out there. This is a shame as Scanner Pro had so much potential. Still it’s no skin of their nose if I leave because I have paid already. I still have lots of documents to back up and digitise but I can’t afford the wasted time faffing about trying to get Scanner Pro to work as it should, and once did. Such a shame as I thought I’d be using it for many more documents and years to come.
good comprehensive tutorial - well done.
I use this more than my photocopier. Saves time, portable, easy to use and inexpensive.
With the ability to quickly scan receipts and then auto-upload them to your computer or favourite cloud service, Scanner Pro is the first most important step in my businesses’ expense accounting process. It auto crops scans, compresses and outputs files as PDFs. They’re uploaded to my computer where using the file name my computer sorts the files (using Hazel for MacOS) before passing them along to my receipt tracker. It’s so quick and painless that I scan everything from restaurant and gas receipts immediately when I get them, saving me the effort of having to keep receipts around until I have time to process them. This app has saved me a ton of time and is a bargain at twice the price.
Can u rename the docs in it rather than random date/default name just to make it easier to find a doc ?
Since I first started using the app — at which time my review wasn’t very favorable — the app has evolved enormously: the scanning options have improved, user’s ability to pinpoint the scan area (as well as the fact that if you’re short on time, you can scan something and make those edits later), not to mention the ability to condense what are rather hi res images into smaller files. The text recognition feature works well in English and French, providing the text is clear. This app has become my go-to tool, and I find I’m using it almost every day. It works less well with images because it’s harder to make a perfectly rectangular frame (you might be better off doing slight adjustment in some image editing software like Photoshop P.S.), but when it comes to text I’m really amazed how well it handles even a totally curled up sheet of paper. A few *tips* for new users: • the flatter you can place your original document the better; it matters less if your phone is perfectly parallel to the surface. ScannerPro will sort that out. • if you’re scanning B&W doc, it’s ok to have underexposed scans or shadows falling across the page. Again, ScannerPro does miracles with B&W text. • pay more attention to lighting & glare when scanning color documents or photos. Also be more careful about camera angles for best results. If done right you can scan in an old family photo and make it look like it was taken with your camera in the first place. • when scanning B&W docs the text may sometimes look squashed or too wide: adjust the format of the page: A4, Legal, Ledger... whatever, until the page looks right to you. This will not affect your printing ability: when printing you can always set the paper you want and scale to size. I’ve never even had to worry about that. • make sure all the pages in your document are the same size: you will avoid jagged angles if you’re reading on screen. • the scans are nice hi res. For B&W documents you can safely upload it to your cloud as Small. ScannerPro is actually better at reducing documents than Adobe. • if you’re scanning a larger # of pages, make sure to save the doc every so often, don’t wait until you’re done. Although ScanerPro is fairly good about crashes: I once had about 70pp in queue when it crashed and lost only 2. If anything else comes to mind I’ll come back & add to it. Improvements? • scanning pages that have little text on them but you still want to scan the full page often come out weird, and sometimes strange shadows appear in conversion to plain B&W doc that aren’t in the original image. Or scanning a page with a poem on it that leaves a lot of blank space to the side: that blank space often gets flooded by a strange shadow... • image scanning could use improvement. I would pay extra for the app if it had some improved color image extension. THANKS FOR A GREAT APP! It’s been a life saver!
I have been using this app for a long time and love it. Am buying a house and it has been extremely convenient to scan documents to send to the mortgage company.
I would like to see an option to allow a person to sign the document once it is scanned. For this I have had to download a different scan app that has that option but I would prefer to just use the one app. Would be great if you could develop that in the next update.
This scans faster and better and more accurately than any other scanner program I know for the iPhone. My only criticism is that the whole UI needs an update, it needs modernising with nice fonts and clean design, but I don’t think anybody can criticise how efficient it is to use.
The best scanner app on the app store, and very reasonably priced compared to the competition.
You say it is for iOS AND Android. On READDLE's website, it does not mention anything about Scanner Pro for Android. Can you please confirm if this app is available for Android?

I have been using this app to scan all our documents, certificates and receipts and it saves it into the cloud too, all automatically. Easy to use. Could even make an old faded receipt readable again. This app is totally brilliant

Ipad Pro da kullanıyorum. Çekilen ilk kare fotoğraftan sonra uygulama kapanıyor. Aynı sorun galeriden fotoğraf eklemek istediğinizde de oluşuyor. Başlarda iyi çalışıyordu. Güncellemelerden sonra bozuldu.
Türkçe dil desteği bekliyoruz.
