My Favorite Murder with Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark Reviews
I mean. It’s literally a true crime comedy podcast. If you can’t wrap your head around that as a concept- go all in anyway. You’ll laugh. And be fascinated. It’ll be fine.
I am walking a lot after back injury and have started listening to podcasts (yes, I know, I was living in the dark ages). My murder-loving friend recommended this one (as her favorite) and I wasn't sure what I was listening to! Lol At first, I skipped ahead, I went right to live shows, I was skipping the first 30 mins of goofing on each episode, I skipped mini episodes...and then somehow I got completely SUCKED IN. I had to start all over from episode 2 again. And then one day, when I was swamped and couldn't listen (had my littles with me all day), I had such withdrawals!!! I realized I cannot go a day without Karen and Georgia. In fact, now I consider my late addiction a blessing because I can binge ALL of these episodes!!! And that same friend came over to clean my house when I couldn't move after surgery (she's the best) and we chatted for a bit but then we just turned on My Favorite Murder and listened together! It was awesome. Stay sexy and don't get murdered!!!
Sincere, hilarious, interesting. Karen and Georgia are so authentically themselves, and as much as other podcasts try to replicate them, they will always do it best.
Few podcasts hold my interest long-term, but MFM has done exactly that.
Look and listen. If you love true crime and nervous laughter, this is for you. Karen and Georgia will become the best friends you didn’t know you needed. Tons of fun!
Do people enjoy this kind of rambling banter? It is lost on me how anyone can listen to these two. Definitely a hard pass.
I try to skip past the super long boring 20-30 intro of favorite foods, fbombs and giggles to the actual story in each podcast, but it’s so hard to tell when the are actually talking about the shows title.
Thanks Karen and Georgia!
Ever watched a bad movie with your friends and added commentary the whole time and it turned out better than watching a good movie in silence? This is it. The Podcasters are entrepreneurs, inspirational, direct, empathetic and hella funny (and I never use the word hella). A whole new take on the true crime genre.
So at first I hated this podcast. I thought it was distasteful and disrespectful but I wanted to give it a real shot. The longer I listened, the more I understood! I was obsessed with spiders and scorpions when I was young, because they were my BIGGEST fears. So I heavily researcehed them until I was no longer afraid. I understand now that Karen and Georgia seem like they're making light of serious topics because they are trying to understand, and allow other to understand, how these horrible tragedies happen and how we can talk about them in a way that is less uncomfortable and more welcoming and HONESTLY comforting. As a person with severe anxiety and a slew of other issues, I thought this podcast would be triggering, but I honestly find it so comforting to be able to acknowledge that these things happen and while I can take precautions to prevent it from happening to me, ultimately it is out of my control.
This is my favourite podcast! Seriously laugh out loud and just love listening to these two. Awesome work ladies ! Also duuuh live for Elvis’ meows 💕
Girl, bye. Used to love this podcast but can no longer ignore how problematic it is.
They do talk a lot of sh#t but skip the first 15/20min and it’s all good stuff. They do make you feel ashamed to be a man but just remember their American and it all American man that are evil and hate women not you, unless your in the USA then shame on you
My favourite podcast xx I love that the chit chat and the laughs and eventually the murder stuff
Although the rambling isn’t for everyone, I love it, makes the whole experience more personal in a way, like you’re really there, just sitting with friends. The true crime itself is presented in an entertaining way, this podcast is the perfect background noise whether you’re cleaning, in the car or just relaxing 5/5
March 10, 2010. Today is Chuck Norris's 70th birthday. As he blew out the candles on his birthday cake, coincidently there were 70 forest fires in California and surrounding states.
I can’t believe that joy everyone is obsessed with this podcast. Please come back to Melbourne, we will be nice this time. Just writing this because some peevish peev wrote a rude comment about you not catering to her specific needs and just needed to say- love the ‘mindless rambling’. I love the tangential thinking and side stories. I love the lip smacking, and mouth noises in them life shows. Don’t change. I legitimately look forward to this show so much, I save for when I’ve finished work (I work nights) and it’s time to go to sleep, that way if I coma out half way through I get to listening to it again.
Legit love these women and all they have done!!! 😻😻😻 Hi to Elvis Mimi and Dottie kitten!
I usually forward to the 20 minute mark because it’s just endless rambling at the start, but the actual murder content is good!
Awful, just awful. By far the worst true crime podcast I have listened to, and I have listened to many many many!
But it’s the best party I’ve ever been too!
BEST PODCAST EVER
Have started binging to this since January this year and it’s been the best podcast. These girls just keeping it real and having a yarn! GB
The best podcast I have evvvvver listened too. I love Georgia and Karen so much! They make me laugh, cry, crap my pants, I learn so much whilst being thoroughly entertained. I can’t get enough! GB
I love this podcast, it’s my favourite! I love Karen and Georgia it’s so comforting to listen to despite the subject which I guess is weird but there’s just something so homely about these two women that makes you feel like you hanging out with two friends or your sisters. SSDGM GB
I have often regretted my speech, never my silence.
