I love MFM so it pains me to write anything less than a glowing review for a podcast that has kept me company for so many years now. For people accusing them of being too political, I think it’s important to remember that Georgia and Karen are trying to adhere to demands that they use their platform for the recent political movements like BLM. I share their views and agree that people with platforms should use their voices. However, I think the extended political conversations get very repetitive and do not help me reach any new conclusions. I think it’s more effective to make concise supportive statements at the beginning of the podcast. I know that’s not their style but when we as an audience are so fatigued it is a turn off to listen to. Even though I understand their anger and venting!! I never thought I’d become a skipper but lately I skip 20-25 minutes every time they put out a new episode. I’ve even come to prefer the minisodes because they do away with the intros. Anyway, I love the podcast and am grateful but I would ask as a big fan that they consider toning down the extended rhetoric/controlling the length of their intros a bit more.

Thanks for always bringing in current events while taking a real look at our history. I’ve been listening for years but just recently saw a handful of bad reviewers lately due to it becoming too “political”. So I thought I’d finally leave one myself. Racism shouldn't be political same as pandemics shouldn’t! It’s basic human safety and rights people. Thank you ladies for standing strong on these beliefs and staying open to learning. Do keep doing the anti-racism work while ofcourse staying sexy and not getting murdered.

this is mostly to everyone saying they’re upset with the amount of “politics” in recent episodes: Newsflash! This isn’t politics anymore! This isn’t politics to the people it’s affecting, it’s their LIVES and the lives of their families! If you’re tired and need a break from those “politics”? BOO-HOO! The people affected by this haven’t gotten a break for 400 years! sorry (not-sorry!) if you’re tired of hearing about racism! Sorry (not sorry!) you can’t just ignore your own racism and the racism of your country anymore! MFM has dealt with this SO well. Georgia and Karen are true angels and deserve a medal!

These two have the perfect balance of seriousness regarding crime and comedy to make these stories tolerable to listen to. I fall asleep to them every night re-listening to old episodes. Their messages of positivity and mental health are important in today’s world. It’s nice to have such voices heard.

I happen to be the momma that C was talking about when she almost fell off the swing and Loretta caught her. It was eerie but not scary as I believe we all have spiritual guardians in our lives!

I’m pretty sure at this point I’m dependent on this podcast. I listen to it like 22 hours a day. I’m so happy I found MFM, Karen and Georgia have helped me so much. I don’t know any podcast like this one.

Every time i tried to listed to this podcast throughout the months I’ve known about it, I would start the episode and I’m 20 minutes in with no story still. Jesus Christ how much banter can we handle ? I can do 5 minutes to 6 minutes max but this is NOT a true crime podcasts. It’s simply not. There’s plenty of other ones that are actually informative and well researched hosted by people who actually care. I’ve been really trying to give it a chance and I give up.

Hi! MFM has helped me through one of the hardest experiences of my life. I had a very terrible ptsd inducing experience a year ago and I have been struggling with it a lot. I started listening to mfm the first week of quarantine. And the way they advocate for the victims and talk about how they process things has been very important for my mental growth. One episode Karen started going off on how you can’t hold yourself responsible for the things others have done to you. And hearing her talk about that straight up changed my outlook on life. I was encouraged by them to go to therapy, quit the things I was doing, and focus on taking care of myself. I love these ladies and am so glad that they put themselves out there and include us in their friendship for even an hour every couple days.

Seen a lot of one star reviews here who obviously don’t understand that yes, it’s a true crime podcast, but it’s also just a conversation between two friends. If you want some clean cut, no interruptions retelling of a crime without getting to know the hosts whatsoever, this is not the podcast for you. I would find that dry and boring, but I guess some people are into that. That sort of thing isn’t for me, but I’m not going to bash it and give it 1 star either. Figure out what like you like and if it isn’t this, don’t listen. No need to be rude in the reviews.

Everyone is giving MFM 1 star ratings because they talk and have COMEDY in the beginning of their show.. It is literally a true crime and COMEDY podcast. If you expected Georgia and Karen to have no personality and talk in monotone voices telling the stories with the soul of a robot, then you came to the wrong place. Go watch the news or read a book.. maybe that’ll help with your lack of understanding what comedy is ☺️

I love this podcast and am on my third listen through. If you aren’t into the friendly banter you can skip through the start but I love it. A few f bombs never hurt anyone either. Great podcast by two hilarious ladies and their support crew.

Does nobody listen to this before release? Ep 228 is cut off, no Ed to EShoaf story! This is why I have gone to more reliable podcasts!

30 minutes+ to get to the actual story??!? What is this. WAY too much annoying chat, the hosts voices are also terrible to listen to. I’ll stick to my straight to the point pods

Down to earth women talking about true crime and using comedy as a way of dealing with anxiety. Funny and interesting.

I feel so comforted by the hilariously told tales of mystery and murder- I wish my friends were as cool as these ladies. So much fun!

20 whole minutes of chat about nothing before actually getting into the show?! Too long. Bit disappointed as I’ve heard so many good things about this podcast, don’t understand it, couldn’t make it through one ep.

Just started this a month or so again to combat the lock down blues. Currently 25 episodes in and enjoying it. It’s interesting when they sometimes mention that the original night stalker might get caught one day.... I wonder how long it will take me to catch up 200 episodes? GB

I prefer to just listen to the minisodes. They're short, light, funny and you don't need to pay too close attention if you're listening while you work or the like. I occasionally listen to a full length episode and when I do I find it funny and enjoyable and appreciate that this isn't meant to be a research-heavy podcast. The open conversations around mental health are empowering and it feels like listening to two friends chat. I've been a long time listener and I can't see this changing in the near future. Keep up the great work! *NB* Have you guys thought of doing a spin off podcast? There's such a great chemistry, it would be really nice to hear you chat about another topic. GB
