My Favorite Murder with Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark Reviews
I can’t say I have a long history of listening to Podcasts but I am forever grateful to the person the turned me on to Karen and Georgia. Silly, fun, serious, contemplative. I started listening to some of the more recent episodes, then some live shows. Now I’ve started at the beginning and am working my way towards the most recent. The pair have remained true to the format throughout. Love these ladies!
I’ve never laughed so much at murder, kidnapping and disappearances!! You girls bring it in a way a can handle the tragedies. I made my mom listen to the Galapagos affair— she’s a tough critic and was rolling!!! Keep me laughin and don’t get murdered xoxo
The two of you are meant to be. Best podcast out there. I have recommended MFM to all my friends and everyone I talk to are hooked. Keep up the amazing work and know you are very appreciated for the work you do and the life you lead.
I’ve recently been into true crime whether it be on a podcast or YouTube but I stumbled across your podcast and I’m obsessed. You both are hilarious and so easy to listen to which makes it so easy to get lost in your episodes. I’ve binges listened to them all (almost) in a weeks time, should I be admiring this? Haha Amazing podcast!!!
Love the podcast - you don’t listen to this for hard fact accuracy or properly identifying geographic locations, you listen to this because it makes you feel less weird about being interested in true crime! Love MFM!
I’ve been a true crime aficionado since a very young age. Read everything I could get my hands on and now that podcasts have come along, listen all day long. Yeah, the research might not be as in depth as others but I absolutely adore this show. I feel like I’m riding around all day working and hanging out with my best friends, talking about my favorite subject. SSDGM cuz I love you!!
I just started listening last week (from the first episode!) and I’m obsessed! Love these girls and their natural chemistry, interesting segues, and most importantly, murder tales.
Annoying and way out of the case talking, need more research... I tried more than twice with different episodes :(
Confused about the hate, you both state that you don’t know everything. Love this podcast and it have almost listened to everyone !!! Love u guys
Karen and Georgia are fabulous ... they do a great job of telling the stories! They put a very funny spin on each story and I always enjoy listening to them!!
I’m a long time listener and I just wanted to review because I have see lots of comments about them ‘joking about murder’ I wanted to say that if you listen they are both very respectful to the people who were unfortunately murdered or harmed and are always horrified about what happened to them. The humour in this podcast comes from both not taking themselves too seriously, which is so refreshing with the dark stories they share. Keep up the amazing content!
...Georgia’s “Valley Girl with a mouthful of gravel” voice drives me nuts. For the love of Lemmy, enough with the fry & endless exasperated gasps. That aside I love this podcast. I’ve been a Karen Kilgariff fan for as long as I can remember it’s a joy to hear her wild takes on the dark & macabre, & - earlier complaints aside - Georgia makes a terrific foil with her slightly off-centre observations. Interesting to me is of the people I’ve recommended this show to, almost every woman has dived in feet-first & are now addicts. That fact alone is just a little terrifying.
Thank you ladies for the heart attack on the final second of Minisode 140. I listen to you guys while I work and I was deep into data entry and near fell off my seat, checked my office for a coworker playing a game on me! Spoooooooky
Listen if you like women, friendship and murder.
Chuck Norris is just like you he puts his pants on one leg at a time exept when he does it he fights north Koreans
I got recommended this podcast a while ago and I’m obsessed. I don’t know what’s worse - that I laugh at every episode or that I know so many of the murders. Anyway, this is so funny, it’s insightful and although the subject matter is serious they make death comedic and make you realise your weird murder obsession is totally normal!
I can’t believe that joy everyone is obsessed with this podcast. Please come back to Melbourne, we will be nice this time. Just writing this because some peevish peev wrote a rude comment about you not catering to her specific needs and just needed to say- love the ‘mindless rambling’. I love the tangential thinking and side stories. I love the lip smacking, and mouth noises in them life shows. Don’t change. I legitimately look forward to this show so much, I save for when I’ve finished work (I work nights) and it’s time to go to sleep, that way if I coma out half way through I get to listening to it again.
Legit love these women and all they have done!!! 😻😻😻 Hi to Elvis Mimi and Dottie kitten!
It seems weird to say but when a new MFM podcast starts playing it feels like a snuggly blanket. These wonderful people have the most amazing ability to connect. The theme music, their voices, cameos by STEVEN all bring such joy. And I never knew how much I said “That’s exactly right” until Karen got all self conscious about it. And don’t forget the stories they tell are amazing- so distressing and awful but full of humanity.
The first time I tried to listen to this is podcast, I didn’t get it. The second time I tried to listen I was in stitches. If you have an interest in the marcabe, and a dark sense of humour to match this is the podcast for you. If you want the facts of the crime delivered in a serious and journalistic way try one of the many, many, many other true crime podcasts.
Some people really need a chill pill. These two funny women don’t take themselves seriously, and present as two friends having a fun chat. If that’s not your thing, ok...but I think they are great. Listen to a couple of episodes and give it a try. One of my favorite podcasts in the crime genre.
I love listening to these podcasts in college I’ve only just started listening to them and I can get through 6 at a time during college times. I’ve always been fascinated about murders and now I can listen about many different types I never knew about and it’s awesome I’m so happy I was recommended this podcast. GB
I love these two, have been listening for around a year now and it saved me from my depression after I started uni and made me feel better about my true crime obsession. I truly love this podcast and how funny they are! GB
Love love love! That’s all there is to say GB
Never regret. If it's good, it's wonderful. If it's bad, its experience.
