My Favorite Murder with Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark Reviews
This podcast is amazing, I can finally listen to true crime stuff and not be scared or freak myself out afterwards due to their dark humor on murder. Now I just need to find some local murderinos ❤️
I’ve listened to this podcast since the beginning but lately find myself deleting episodes before I get to the end because the stories are either 1. not about murder but instead about some crazy guy (i.e. the most recent one being the guy who flew his plane over his exes house for hours before crashing and ultimately dying but not killing anyone) and 2. When they are about murder the facts and reporting is so shoddy. This is their job now and they hardly put any effort into researching the stories. A 5 minute google search has pulled up more information than they report on. The most interesting stories thus far are the “I Survived” but that’s basically another person recapping a television episode. I’ve tried other true crime podcasts but like the comedy premise of this one and Last House on the left is a bit too vulgar for me. Oh yea- forgot to mention the 20+ mins of rambling at the beginning that seems to get longer and longer with every episode.
This podcast is so fun and educational (some info not totally on point) but I always get good laughs and helps me stay awake while driving!
It’s like these women have read my mind. I too think I’m safer if I learn all about the psycho killers and their tactics. If I pepper spray some dude, he shouldn’t have made me feel unsafe. 😂😂😂😂😂 The humour makes me laugh out loud while saying “that’s awful” but seriously thinking they’re funny. A friend recommended this podcast. Thank you friend. I will do the same! 😁
Reading some of the comments on here is frustrating: they're two good friends, of course they're gonna be chatty and casual. They never pretended to be super well-informed and they always try to correct themselves when they can. If you don't like the chatting, skip it or listen elsewhere! I personally like the way they tell the stories, it's the way I tell stories to my friends so it feels like you're a part of it, it's really fun. They cover a lot of different cases and it's always easygoing and interesting.
If you’re going to become famous by sitting around, banging out flippant zingers at the expense of people who have come to a horrific demise, can you at least use current terminology which has been chosen by the communities you are getting rich off discussing? The “we’re so dumb oh well” act is not an excuse. You’re a couple of articulate, quick white ladies who obviously spend all day online, so you DO know better, and it wouldn’t ruin your whole banter deal to show a little respect since there’s an obvious feminist tone to your brand or whatever. Thanks.
I think other reviews missed that this is a comedy podcast. It is a little disjointed, but that's what's so funny!! Perfect for people who love true crime but don't want to leave feeling ultra depressed. LOVE this podcast so much!! I recommend this to anyone who lives true crime!
Hands down the greatest crime podcast of all time. These ladies are just the BEST.
I listened to two shows, both for 15-20 minutes and never actually got into a murder. It’s like the girl versions of Beavis and Butt-Head (which I love) but not what I was expecting. After listening to pointless dribble for 20 minutes I couldn’t stand it anymore and never actually got to the most important part of the podcast. If you subscribe, skip through a good portion.
Amazing chemistry that these two share, a brilliant podcast to listen to at work, on the go, or snuggled up in bed. Keep up the great content.

This is FAB!!
If pointing out racism is “negative” then I’ll be a negative Nancy all day and night and life. Very disappointed in this podcast. From the lack of research and pouring out unfactual stories, to their tag line (sorry if I’m not hot do I deserve to get murdered?), to not listening to their fan base for WEEKS when they release a racist shirt design, it’s too far too gone. You can’t take weeks to apologize while posting self serving content. Especially if you chose to “like” posts that are attacking those standing up for what’s right here. Take a hint from literally any other podcast and create a 5 minute episode to apologize properly. Thanks for giving the community $ back that they MADE you in the first place but what are you going to do to further educate yourself? Will you ever thank the countless POC fans that had to educate your mainly white fan base cause you refuse to? Did you think a donation and non apology would shut people up? I hope you they realize your “I’m white and right” fan base is attacking POC fans right now. Citing your fan page to be closed cause of “negativity”. I think you spelled racism wrong. Yes, you can make mistakes but NO, you shouldn’t take weeks to address them in the internet age. Welcome to 2018 ladies. No, you can’t control others actions or words but Yes, you have a responsibility because YOU created this environment for them to thrive in.
Okay so. I love murders/serial killers I’m sooooo obsessed with them it’s not funny! 😍 like I can sit there for hours and read and talk about them. This is my first time listening to this podcast as a friend suggested to it to me! And I’m so in love with it! I don’t think I’m gonna stop listening anytime soon
Awful, just awful. By far the worst true crime podcast I have listened to, and I have listened to many many many!
But it’s the best party I’ve ever been too!
Chuck Norris paints his house once a year with a human head.
Find this podcast can be insensitive. More of a gossiping session then an factual run down of each case.
So good and so funny. You have made my long commute in Auckland, New Zealand so much better. Don’t ever change xox
I’m very late to the MFM podcast. I’m only up to ep 11. Karen and Georgia are hilarious! Thanks for bringing so many good stories, I can’t wait for the David Bain ep, I’m legit obsessed with that story.
I have been flat out binging on this podcast for the last month that now I’m scared of when I catch up, how will I fill my million hour commute everyday? The girls are hilarious. I love their dynamic and constantly crack up whilst driving. Do yourself a favour 👌🏼
This is literally the only podcast I listen to. When they plug other podcasts I think ‘umm bye!’ The best thing going on in my life. Actually, the only thing going on in my life. Subscribe to my YouTube channel- Carlee Maree!!!! I’m a little bit awkward 😜
This is worth downloading & listening to. It has everything if you are into true crimes with the added bonus of listening to 2 awesome hilarious women that provide us with so many laughing out loud moments that I am now use to receiving weird looks from strangers.. you will not regret it!!!
Was a MFM latecomer and have been binge-listening ever since. So good! GB
This podcast is so amazing! Not only does it help my studying and when I walk my dogs, but it’s also made me want to become a forensic psychologist and I’m pursuing my dreams thanks to this podcast! So hilarious and interesting, the first podcast I started listening to and I’ll never stop ❤️ GB
A friend of mine told me about this podcast and I instantly knew I’d love it. Listened to about 4 episodes that same day and then recommended it to my coworker. I love Karen and Georgia, they’re absolutely hilarious and the way they discuss the murders is reminiscent of the way me and friends talk about murder and our fascination with it!! This also may or may not be the reason I only sleep for about 2 hours a night.... GB
