My Favorite Murder with Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark Reviews
I listen to about 8 podcasts regularly and I was thrilled when I found this one! Georgia and Karen also turned me onto “Vile Virginia” and I love it as well. (Look it up when you, like myself, run out of MFM episodes!) I love the friendship banter and the stories. Such a good format! Highly suggest to all my friends who enjoy creepy stories and -of course- murrrrder!
Was my favorite podcast for many years. Too political. My favorite murder should now be called my favorite politics.
That is all they do is bla bla bla. Not worth your time.
When I first started listening I was like “umm I’m here for MURDER, not your personal lives!” But that changed in 2.5 seconds. Listen to the whole podcast! These women are soooo funny, so relatable, and just so easily able to put you in a good mood (despite the fact that you’re listening to a murder podcast). Needless to say, I AM ADDICTED
Please Karen and Georgia, the people want you to give new episodes every week (within reason). No more quilts!
Too many live shows with wooing, and poor audio quality. The non-live shows are okay though.
If you want straight to the point, cold-hard-facts about crime, try a different show. I absolutely adore the banter between Karen and Georgia… they really let the listeners in and it feels like hanging out with your best friends. I totally love the politics and I appreciate that they use their considerable platform to keep folks informed and talking about what’s important. Plus it look like they have some haters out there so you know they’re doing something right! Keep up the great work! SSDGM! P.S. these ladies inspired me to start my own podcast!!!
I loveeeee the podcast been listening for 2 yrs now. However this past yr I’ve been getting so nervous how much they try to tell u what’s right and wrong like if I don’t have the same views as u I’m a bad person. I don’t need to here u talk negative abt anybody doesn’t matter if they don’t have the same views as u! We live in a democracy where we have the right to vote for who we want!!! If you mentioned it a couple times fine but it’s getting to a point like stop already and the negative stuff u say abt other ppl it’s bullying and u have an audience is that the type of ppl I want to be. I’ve really always loved u guys but this yr I find myself skipping the whole beginning or putting off listening to the episode cuz it gets me fustrated.
Love everyone @ MFM. This show is apart of my weekly routine. Much love & respect to Georgia & Karen❤️♥️🤍❤️🤍❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’ve been listening since the early days of the series but I feel like the episodes have become more and more disappointing. I look forward to the episodes every week and it’s starting to become increasingly hit or miss, with reliance on old material or one story a week. Also for a few months I’ve been noticing a decrease in dialogue between the two of them during the murders, and one sided fact listing happening a lot. The best part of this podcast was the comedy and it’s missing that mark. If the show isn’t something they want to do anymore I’d understand but it seems like they’ve given up and become resentful about making episodes.
This is my all time favourite podcast, I’m even listening to them all a second time and it’s just as good, if not better!
Seriously tho, thank you for advocating for the victims. Life is so tough to swallow sometimes. I don’t agree with you 100%. I love you regardless. Let’s bring more peace. Xo

I started at the beginning and have worked through all the episodes (as have my sister and best friend!) and while the show has changed, and Karen and Georgia have changed and grown and learnt there is a core of excitement, friendship and sharing that has not changed. The show is not a straight recap of true crime as it once was, but I enjoy how Karen and Georgia have embraced change, and I am happy to see a podcast willing to change and grow as the hosts do. An excellent show, very much like having a weekly chat up with old friends. We don’t always agree, but I always walk away happy.
Listening to these ladies always relaxes me
Aside from great stories, they are open, honest, hilarious and refreshingly human, qualities we are lacking as a society right now. I love that I know their political views and respect them all the more for this transparency.
Chuck Norris has a job. His job is to roundhouse kick people. He gets a million dollars if he does. then hes done.
Love this podcast, the hosts tackle the topics and victims of the crimes with respect. Their style of humour really appeals to me
I love listening to y’all! All the way from New Zealand. So intelligent. So funny. So honest. A voice of sensibility. Love you amazing humans.
Karen and Georgia are my go to always. Wether it be re listening to old episodes to help me get to sleep after a rough day or listening to up to date episodes on my way to work. Their honesty with mental health issues is refreshing and comforting. 2020 has been a ride and My Favourite Murder is my sound track! Megan from New Zealand
I can’t get enough of this podcast! I binge this every day and while everyone works out at the gym to their metal or dance music, I’m working out to the sound of Karen and Georgia in my ears! Love, Love, LOVE!
Very informative. Great true crime podcast. They really do speak openly about mental health, Swear like aussies and have given me one more way to connect with my adult daughters.
I like the long chats at the start... if you’re a long time fan the 30 minutes of banter is great... but now they can’t manage to do more than two shows in a row before throwing up a live episode? It’s lazy considering the staggering success they’ve had with this show.
I LOVED the podcast but it’s gotten too “corporate” in the past few months. Part of Georgia and Karen’s charm is “sidebars” but the intros are getting longer and longer. I’m a skipper! The episodes are usually just over an hour long and sometimes 45 minutes of that is the intro :( anyone can look up the murders online but the whole charm of the podcast is hearing it being told with a bit of fun and warmth! Instead it’s told word for word from wiki. I don’t mind the live episodes either and sometimes find them more well researched than the recorded- but the intros could easily be shortened or cut out when being uploaded. We don’t need to know about the audience! It’s been recommended a few times to put in time stamps for the skippers but Karen and Georgia have said they’re “technically challenged” which is fair enough, but surely Steven would be able to? Also, really hating the latest changes of one story per episode or quilt episodes of stories we’ve heard before. I don’t mind the quilt episodes when they’re stories that have never made it online! Sorry for the rant, just really saddened by all of the recent changes and loss of enthusiasm. We’re all struggling during lockdown but it sometimes feels like their other projects are taking precedent. It’s okay to take a break if you need to! GB
Those two hilarious gals and 1000 pieces puzzles literally saved me during lockdown GB
I’ve been listening since 2018 so I was a little late to the game but I am all caught up now. Every week I eagerly await the new Episode! GB
It is with words as with sunbeams. The more they are condensed, the deeper they burn.
