My Favorite Murder with Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark Reviews
I listen to true crime podcasts religiously... I’ve tried this one several times & I just can’t get over how they don’t even start talking about the crime till 20min in!! I don’t have time or desire to hear two friends discussing life or current events. Plus, I thought this was a crime pod cast not a political one? If I wanted politics I’d have plenty of other podcasts I could tune into. Just don’t think I can give it any more if my time.
I listen all day long at work. You girls keep me entertained and informed about one of my most favorite topics!!! MURDER GO TEAM KILHARD

I love your podcast, so much! However, using the recordings from previous shows is a major copout. You have both spoken about sitting at home without much to do during quarantine. If there was ever a time to research some good stories, this is it! Please bring some new stuff to the table!
love this podcast it’s addicting
Best podcast out there.
I've been listening faithfully to My Favorite Murder for years and cannot believe I haven't left a review before. I came for the true crime but I've stuck around - and fallen in love - because of Karen & Georgia. My favorite part of the episode is often the beginning, where they chit chat about their lives and the stories that are unfolding around them. I love to hear their opinions and insights, and even when I disagree I just love hearing how they think. Since the beginning they have been very upfront with what listeners can expect: a true crime comedy podcast that is researched carefully but not expertly. I've seen other reviewers who don't like how much more honest and upfront K & G are about their political and ethical values lately, which but I think that's what keeps 90% of listeners coming back & more coming for the first time. I think a lot of us believe that taking a firm stance & position during times like these is an important step to meaningful change, and with a platform like theirs they're even better positioned to stand up for what they believe is right. I admire them for the intense vulnerability that speaking their mind to hundreds of thousands of people must take, and now risking their livelihood when they take a side of a divisive issue. I feel like I've watched them grow over the years, and I just feel so much affection for these two. When I go back and listen to the first season, I feel so warmly towards them for how much they have worked to be even more sensitive in how they speak about victims and things like 'abnormal' psychology. Mondays and Thursdays are My Favorite Days for sure! So much love for the whole crew that makes this happen! ♥️

I’ve been a long time listener, listened to every episode, bought the book, etc. etc. I don’t mind the banter, political talk, or personal stories. Even at the beginning, you knew that was part of the podcast and what made K & G more relatable. BUT lately it does seem that they’re just not enjoying themselves anymore and their vibe is different. While the stories were never super well-researched, they have gotten downright sloppy and since they don’t do their own research anymore, it seems like they just don’t care anymore. The earlier stories were fun to listen to because K&G genuinely seemed interested in the tales. Now it just seems they do it because they have to. Maybe they’re burned out and need to take a break, it’s understandable. I’ll tune in to Last Podcast on the Left, Morbid, and Thats why we drink before MFM now.
An acquired taste that I can’t get enough of 👌
These two have the perfect balance of seriousness regarding crime and comedy to make these stories tolerable to listen to. I fall asleep to them every night re-listening to old episodes. Their messages of positivity and mental health are important in today’s world. It’s nice to have such voices heard.
I happen to be the momma that C was talking about when she almost fell off the swing and Loretta caught her. It was eerie but not scary as I believe we all have spiritual guardians in our lives!
Another diehard fan of years who can no longer listen to this podcast. I got you guys, I really did. I even trudged through as the topics worsened in quality — I didn't sign up for My Favorite 1700s Bridge Collapse — but I can't do it anymore. The constant live episodes are just not enjoyable, even the most dedicated Murderinos have been telling you this for years. To disguise them as normal episodes and start pumping THOSE out weekly with barely any warning is pretty shameful. I get it's hard work but I'd rather see MFM end at this point. Really disappointing.
Used to love this podcast but seems like Georgia and Karen are over it and stopped putting in the effort to make episodes. I sincerely hope Georgia is doing well as the impression I’ve gotten lately is she could use our well wishes ❤️
Love this show and Karen and Georgia. Such cool peeps, honest and a-tuned to human emotions and societal themes. They manage to present horrible stories in a humorous and cautionary way, taking the edge of these cases which deserve to be known. A fresh take on true crime.
If you spell Chuck Norris in Scrabble, you win. Forever.
No other podcast is as perfect as this is.
Best podcast there is, I love these girls and binged listen the whole thing in weeks!! Love, love, love ❤️❤️
I love these girls. They’re funny and I really enjoy their banter. They help me cope with anxieties and it’s totally my escape.
Love listening to this podcast because their research and reactions to the murders mirror my own. They give you all the info that’s interesting and I love how they react.
These gals have me laughing until my side hurt. Their honest humour keeps me coming back for more of the scariest and darkest happenings you could not even imagine.
factual and comedy in the perfect ratio. you come to learn more and more about these lovely ladies with every listen!! live shows are very different to normal recordings so I recommend listening to every type of episode posted to find what you like the most and ease yourself into the rest!!! I have listened to this podcast nearly every single night for the past 3 years and it’s amazing GB
I still love it nothing stays the same from a day, a life or a podcast, we all move GB
Very different from other podcasts like casefile, this isn’t one murder told in detail with facts and dates. This is two friends chatting about true crime pod casts, Netflix, anxiety, anything really and then two true crime stories told the way your friend would in a bar after a couple of glasses of wine! The hosts are the first to admit they will miss dates and get stuff wrong but it’s entertaining anyway. There’s also a home town story told by fans of the show which tend to be just as interesting as the hosts versions. GB
