Great show, but...Really informative, but over the last few months the host Stacey has grown in to a bit of a giggly airhead who doesn’t listen to guests and co-hosts and constantly interrupts them to make what she obviously thinks are funny quips. Great showGreat show although your most recent episode is playing a bit fast and loose with facts. Yes, number of jobs increased BUT that brief positive win SHOULD BE EXAMINED within the context that a) those jobs were mostly part time NOT full time, usually with NO benefits or wage protection. Full time jobs HAVE NOT increased. B) the fact that NOT ONE SINGLE STATE has a minimum wage on which someone could live (without supplemental income, welfare, etc) Essentially, saying “we have more jobs so the economy is growing” is EXTREMELY misleading and untrue, since those jobs do not provide what people NEED in a job - namely stability and decent pay - this is usually why people leave jobs..Score: 4/5

Lighthearted and informative part of my daily routineI love this podcast and it’s an important part of my nightly commute. Lighthearted but well researched and very informative. I especially want to thank the Efficient Christmas podcast for completely vindicating our family traditional of picking something off the wish list rather than trying to surprise the recepiant. Amazingly, there is very little overlap with the bigger sister podcast, Planet Money. So if you enjoy that, you will probably enjoy listening to them both. Interesting but the liberal bias is always thereI like the Indicator, and the reporters are pleasant. But the liberal bias is always there. As an example, today’s episode spoke in absolutely glowing terms about the $1.9 billion Biden bill. There was no discussion of any negative aspect of the bill, the wastefulness of it, whether it is needed, or the subsidies to the states that shut down their economies harder. UninformedOstensibly non-partisan, yet hyper left under a sloppily disguised cover of ‘both sides’ while clearly choosing a side. Partisanship aside, the reporting is sloppy, it’s not well informed, it’s just not something worth listening to. These people can’t even manage their own lives. Unmarried, childless, why listen to these failures about anything other than the best place to adopt a cat in the west village. NPR is a joke..Score: 1/5

Can’t Play ShowsI time shift my playing of podcasts, all of my subscribed show play oldest to newest based on release date. Recently NPR shows have been marked “This Show in Unavailable” when I play it thru CarPlay. It still will play thru my old school wheel iPod but not thru any recent Apple Product. While I enjoy this show, I can’t when it’s unplayable. That’s the reason for my 2 star review, if I can’t listen to it it’s not a good show..Score: 2/5

The new white liberal Cold War PropagandaI typically don’t like listening to NPR because they always manage to say sexist, racist, or outright false things on their more political oriented shows. Sadly this show is no exception. The hosts perpetuate unsubstantiated, and ultimately, racist claims that COVID-19 originated form China when new data points to earlier cases in Italy. When everyone on the show is white or belongs to the elite class, all I hear is subtlety veiled disdain for the perspectives of people who have to live through the worst parts of this country..Score: 2/5

It’s all trueAnyone who knows someone who depends on Newstart can attest to the accuracy of this episode. It’s horrible, especially if you live in the regions where there’s not much employment and very little variety in what’s offered. People can’t live on it. They have to have regular support from friends and family. There’s also the fact that it gives the government a lot of control over you. If anyone thinks that’s just as it should be, if you’re on the dole you deserve to be owned by the government, try it. It’s unfair and it’s an insult, every single day..Score: 5/5
