Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard Reviews
I’m absolutely amazed by this podcast every time I hear an episode. I think it’s just getting better and better and I genuinely don’t get tired of listening to Dax and Monica or hearing their thoughts on such a wide arrange of topics and guests. Their thoughtfulness and ability to have fun is really precious and they must be protected at all costs. P.S. Bring Tony Hawk & Padma Lakshmi!!!!!! 🤘🏽
Not sure if reviews are being read as they’ve seen to have gone hill in the past weeks. I thought the Leslie Odom Jr. handled that preposterous interview with grace. I don’t know how he didn’t try to slap them both through his Zoom or wherever they were. When he was trying to explain his FAIR process to negotiate and then Dax DANEDDDDDDD to talk about Kristen and say how much money he told her I SHE should ask for...I about fell out of my seat. How obliteratingly disgusting. I lost sooooooo much respect for Dax after that. Yes I KNOW what he meant as women aren’t paid as much in men in all industries (that’s right little Hollwoodies, you aren’t the only ones that matter), but this interview was not about Kristen or Dax: it was an interview about Odom. He was using this platform and explaining how experience in this racist country. And Dax decided to compare his life to his white wife’s. Cringe-worthy. And then Monica tried to flatter him with a story about how Kristen knew he’d be famous after she already was famous? What? Shut. Up. I also agree with all the other reviews that Dax (insincerely) fawns over the guests too much and interrupts them. And more on Monica. No one has ever explained whyyyy she’s on this silly podcast or how she’s been able to hitch her wagon to this rich famous family’s (I think I used that same phrase as another review) but it’s so odd. That’s all I can say. And stop talking about your stupid pee baby! If Monica could also stop diagnosing actor’s lives and behavior, that would be great. I also about fell out of my seat when she did that to SEAN PENN. holy! Told him why he acts the way he does. Again Sean was so gracious and just took it politely. She’s down that countless other times to. Let’s remember she was a theater major, not a psychology major. Why do I keep listening? For the guests and comedians and experts. To learn something from them if I can. I’m all set with the interviewers’ opinions at this point.

Love the show. Also, to all your jabs at those of us who choose to live in states like Minnesota (and love it here), go back to the Tom Brady episode and conversation about the importance of “grit”. It is a critically important factor to success, and we have GRIT!
Keep doin the damn thing
Love this podcast! Love the vast list of guests and all the different topics! Never a boring episode! Great content all the time! Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I always learn something valuable. Coming to the end of the Susan Burton episode. I am awed and inspired by her story, and what she has done for so many women. Also, thank you for being so open yourselves.
Dax is amazing at interviewing his guests, and he is a personal inspiration to me.
You guys are so fun to listen to! You can feel the love and mutual respect you have for each other and it carries the show. I saw a review that I want to kinda copy the sentiment of - I don’t know who all of the guests are and I still listen because I know I’m going to learn something and leave the episode happy. You don’t fall into the traps that a lot of podcasts do, which is one sided politics, narcissistic banter, or repeated, mundane topics. Dax, I’m so proud of the man that you are and have become and I don’t even know you. You open your self up to your audience like no man or “celebrity” (I add “” because I see you and just an everyday person bc that’s how you come across) before you. Thank you for sharing with us, being open to change and caring about your audience. I listen to this podcast when I need a break from life, and it does not let me down.
I left a 4 star cuz I always think there’s room for improvement. But listening to y’all makes my days. Being a 41 yr old who watched Dax on Punkd had no idea the layers on this dude. His vulnerability draws you in. Everyone can relate. His sincere interest in every guest is the reason to keep listening. He does his homework. The way him and Monica seamlessly navigate tough topics and get the guests to let their guard down and truly open up is captivating. I learn. I grow. I laugh. I cry. I Look forward to the days a new podcast is posted. It will change my life in a positive way no matter what! Monica does such an amazing job editing because of their relationship. And is AMAZINzg!!! I’m out!
I have really enjoyed Monica & Jess Love Boys - lots of really great life lessons to take out of these episodes. Thanks for sharing your journey!
Would it be possible to get andy samberg on the podcast? I LOVE HIM FROM BROOKLYN NINE NINE, i think everyone starting b99 is inevitably hit with an unexpected crush on this beautiful man. Great pod tho dax, for a lack of better words: it just always a good vibe up in this b
I’m still listening. Since my commute is only 7 minutes to my office or 1 minute to my kitchen table, I listen to the podcast while working. Please keep posting episodes, we are listening and it is nice to hear how you and your guests are doing during this crazy time. Stay safe and well!!

I could listen to Keith Urban talk all day. He is inspiring, cheeky & so, so smooth. Thank you for this interview, Dax 🇦🇺
Sick of Dax constantly brining the conversation back to his drug addiction and asking guests about their drugs of choice etc he’s constantly bringing conversations back to his past, time to move on! Monica adds nothing to the episodes other than her annoying fake laugh.
Love the content and guests but get frustrated when Dax interrupts the guests and talks about his own experiences too much. Yes Dax we already know about your past experiences we don’t need them repeated each episode.
If Chuck Norris was going to die in 4 seconds Steven Seagal "Might" get a hit on him with Steven Seagal dieing on Chuck Norris last breath
Dax and guests are great! The co hosts laugh though... 😬
Honestly I feel like I’m there in the room. I’m so invested in the archairy fan club I want to write Dax and Monica a letter after every episode. Laugh out loud, honest, passionate

Dax has an uncanny ability to get his guests to discuss raw personal issues, no small feat given they are celebrities used to publicists controlling how they present themselves. I particularly appreciate Dax’s ability to use his own stories which enable the guest to open up in response. While the guests’ stories are often interesting and inspiring, it is Dax’s own background (raised by a single mother with several partners) that keeps me coming back to the podcast. I come from a similar upbringing and his ability to articulate what he went through and how cognisant he is of its impact on him today is incredibly inspiring. Monica is a great foil who masters the difficult art of finding the right time to jump in with pertinent questions for the guests. Keep up the amazing work, you guys keep me going when it’s all a bit tough.
Not sure I can keep listening after they have given Casey Airtime. Not what I’d expect from this podcast.
I was so resistant to this podcast... I thought, oh great, another rich celebrity interviewing other rich celebrities. Groundbreaking. But Dax is so down to earth, smart, raw, open, insightful, funny and warm. The topics and guests are broad and interesting, and he really makes you feel like you’re sitting around chatting with a bunch of close friends. Pleeeeease come to Australia. We’ll let you hold a koala and everything.
I love this podcast so much!! It’s the perfect balance of humour, emotion and a beautiful dash of life lessons. It’s the best listening to Dax and Maximus Mouse laugh and tease but adore each other and their guests. Please bring a live show to Australia, I’ll even take a T-shirt to the head if that’s what it takes
This show is honestly one of the best parts of my day. I listen on my hourly commute to work every day, I listen to old episodes when I’ve finished the new releases. It’s like a comfort blanket! It’s changed my perspective on myself, on life, on my outlook and relationships. It’s taught me things I would have never known or sought out. It’s truly made me a better human! Thank you Dax & Monica for putting the cherry on top of my day, every day 💪🏼🍒 GB
This podcast has been a life saver and a game changer for me. I love the dynamic between Dax and Monica and the guests are really fun and interesting but ultimately it’s Dax that makes this podcast so special. Massively honest, relatable and sooooo funny! I’ve recommended this podcast so many times! Fave episode is still Rob Lowe and closely followed by Alison Brie. X GB
The Jud Brewer interview is brilliant, it’s the conversation that happens afterwards which is shocking. Clearly it’s about the current COVID situation, Dax expresses his opinion (which I understand he has a right to do) with such nonchalance it was scary. He compares a deadly virus to diabetes and carbs at a restaurant??? Not sure that is a great analogy. Expressing old people should be responsible for themselves. Sure - if you’re a rich, old person. I wish his cohost called him out on these dangerous statements. She tries but needs to go harder. GB
You have to think anyway, so why not think big?
