Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard Reviews
I really enjoy the podcast and Dax’s openness to basically everything! Living, loving, learning and growing. I love hearing all of Dax’s theories on random things. 😂
I tell everyone that will listen to get in on this because of how much I have gotten from it. Maybe I’m a little intense, but I feel like I’ve done more self reflection and had more break throughs about my own personal issues than I have had in any therapy session by just listening and relating to what is talked about on here (and there’s some comedy sprinkled in). Never really noticed Dax always interrupting his guests, he always has something funny or interesting to add, so I guess I don’t mind it? He’s one of the good ones. Give it a listen and if you get from it what I do, it’ll change ya life!
I used to subscribe, but now I just come back every so often to see if anyone interesting has been on. With the exception of Kristen Bell, Seth Rogan and a few others, most of the guests are B-list celebrities you may have seen in one or two things, not unlike Dax. The show itself is pretty good until Dax brings up that he’s dyslexic, an addict, had step dads, and drones on and on with his sob stories. We all have baggage, man. If he were to reveal that once in an appropriate context it could be powerful, but for some reason he feels the need to burden every guest with his “trauma” , which means the listeners have to endure it every episode. I think he’s trying to be relatable, but it’s just so unnecessary.
Best podcast hands down. Hope they keep coming!! Mad love for Dax, Monica and Wobby Wob

I love listening to Dax and Monica. Sometimes I’m in stitches laughing so hard.
Entertaining and enjoyable
Anyone can start a podcast. Not Everyone can sustain it. Rogan learned what works. But this dude just talks and talks and talks about himself. No matter the point you’re at in the podcast, you’ll find him speaking about himself. Blah blah blah.
I thoroughly enjoy this podcast and look forward to new episodes releasing each week. Dad does talk a lot but I listen for him and Monica whereas the guests are a welcome surprise. I appreciate how long most of the episodes are. It allows the guests to become much more comfortable and open.
I really enjoy Armchair Expert, I think it's a great combination of funny and serious. They definitely are not afraid to approach difficult topics. I like that Dax is really open and his openness seems to bring out the same quality in his guests. I also like that they take risks, Dax doens't have a problem expressing his take on hot button issues and then listening to the guest and or Monica's experience. He seems genuinely interested in learning and bettering himself. I rated it a 4 instead of a 5 because I feel that sometimes it gets a little repetative. Each guest doesn't always know Dax's entire background so he often has to retread old ground that the listener has heard several times for a new guest. I also don't love the new direction that the fact check is heading in, it seems to be getting less factual and more silly and chatty. The banter is fun, but I really enjoyed the earlier fact checks that had more facts.
Dax Shepard is so easy to listen to, so relatable, and deserves so much respect for sharing his personal life/struggles with his listeners. He is genuine with each and every guest, and allows himself to be vulnerable in a way that lets his listeners connect and reflect on their own lives. I love this podcast and will recommend it to anyone I can. Ps. I don’t feel Dax interrupts- he shares instead of being a passive listener. And he is so NOT a creep talking to Mila- he’s hilarious! Keep being yourself, Dax! You’re doing just fine!
This was a huge eye opener for me: IT’S TEMPORARY Thank you Dax! This will help me immensely!!!!! Bréne Brown: Choose discomfort over resentment!! Thank you to both of you for these pointers. And Dax and Monica... your podcasts just get better and better... thank you Angie
Dax, your voice is soothing af. I love how everyone is so comfortable talking with you. Thanks for sharing these moments with us
Love Dax so much! Great show! Wish his interviews would go longer though!
This podcast seems to be simple informal, meandering conversations (perhaps that is all it is) but for me - it maintains my interest (it’s not like listening to a lot of in jokes and codes - or eavesdropping on a boring conversation), touches on a lot of topical and thought provoking content particularly regarding personal ethics... it’s also funny and easy to listen to.
Ugh. Worst. Laugh. Ever.
If Chuck norris punched the earth it wouldnt shatter it would create a black black hole and only let the the people live that he deemed worthy
Delivers everytime. Dax is a great conversationalist and manages to disarm guests from all realms of life with his own vulnerability and honesty. The result is episode after episode of honest, informative and often controversial conversation that peels back the layeres and inevitability discovers commonalties that bind us together as humans on this planet.
I started listening about 6 months ago and i look forward to every episode, even if i dont know the guest very well. Every guest is engaged and Dax has a great manner and is very honest and funny. I love hearing about these people as people, not just their celebrity hype. Cant go wrong with this one! Love ya Dax!
I like this podcast, Alot
However.... Dax! Stop interrupting and talking about yourself in each episode. That’s my only criticism.
Seth Green pod was the best so far!! Great stories guys.

Dax ~ will you be my therapist? Jk. Not. My best friend from childhood introduced me to this podcast and and it is now (without fail) a weekly topic of conversation between us. So many interesting and relatable topics are covered. Dax is down to earth, smart as hell, and tells it like it is to the interesting subjects of his interviews. He also has an anthropology degree from UCLA. His & Maaaanica’s relationship is so grounded, honest, and loving. Honestly just #friendshipgoals. The vulnerability is real & the perfect breeding ground for true comedy. I love you two and this podcast, please never stop making it ever ever in the history of ever. GB
I’m glad you posted the Kristen episode, you guys show a side that’s clearly as loving and committed but also not as “polished” as say an Ellen appearance where you’re basically the worlds best couple, like. I still wish I was you, but I know you’re human haha GB
Thank you so much for interviewing Ira Glass. I just cannot deal with how much I love this interview. Also the Lena interview. So so good. GB
Why compare yourself with others? No one in the entire world can do a better job of being you than you.
