The singing grates my nerves so it’s hard to finish. A back story would’ve been nice, too.

To say I’ve enjoyed this podcast doesn’t seem quite right, as their is little joy per se, but certainly redemption, in Melissa’s journey. I’ve never heard a podcast about the child of a murderer and I learned a lot from what Melissa has allowed us to hear. I found this podcast fascinating, heavy, and well worth listening to. I appreciate the respect that the producers have for Melissa. They show deference for the pain she has experienced but also provide opportunities for her to transcend it. Yes, the music is a little hard to take, but I find that to be more of an artistic decision (as opposed to a journalistic foible) which I can accept, even if I wouldn’t have made the same decision myself.

Listening to many true crime podcasts, I've genuinely enjoyed the music and what I'd consider to be high production values that make it easy to become immersed in the story. I'm not sure why so many don't feel Melissa has empathy for the victims, as she's been interviewed for her perspective as the child of a cold blooded killer and does her part to explain her story. That's all she can accurately speak to and I've enjoyed hearing her story and that of the last victim's son, which is gut wrenching and portrayed real emotion not often heard in podcasts. The ads definitely do take you out of the story, and I'm not supportive of anything Dr. Oz is involved with usually, but I thought the podcast has done a good job so far building up to the climactic ending.

I really, really wanted to love this podcast. I like the concept. I’d like to know more facts about growing up with Keith, and a bit more about Keith’s life. Sometimes the story is hard to follow as not all the facts and timelines seem to make sense. Some episodes were really good, some are really bad (ie. the episode where Melissa meets Leroy). It just got way too similar to sounding like a weed induced therapy session for me. It had so much potential and I’ll listen to the end but I’m disappointed.

I love a good soundtrack to a true crime podcast, but for the love god, quit the music. I’m only in the first episode and it’s so distracting. The interviews are good stuff all by itself. They don’t need music. I’m trying super hard to tune the music out but I’m not sure I’m going to make it.

Good content, but this entire podcast is told in a very choppy manner

People complaining about the advertising in the middle of ANY podcast need to go away and hide in a hole. MANY podcasts do this. Sure, it’s annoying sometimes, but you’re getting an amazing narrative FOR FREE. It’s a free experience. YOU ARE NOT PAYING ANYTHING. The amazing people that make these series have to fund it somehow. So just stop being dicks. This story is amazing. There are people in it that you will hate. You will question motives of everyone. It’s just a great story. Enjoy.

Should be entertaining but very poorly done! Found Keith’s daughter to be very self absorbed and non sympathetic to the victims family Also the sound quality is hit and miss. I listen to it with head phones and the string/drone noise comes in and is near deafening! Very disappointed

I understand that Melissa’s perspective is unique and that’s why she gets a podcast but if she is so worried about becoming like her father she should not make it “her life’s work” to seek attention for herself from the deaths of eight women. It was apparent that this was her motive when producers hassled Julie’s son until he would go on the podcast to talk to Melissa and she made herself the main victim in the scenario and told him that his belief system was wrong when it’s clear he wants to believe it was divine will that his mother was murdered. Feels like the whole situation was geared for ratings and not to heal the murdered victims families at all, very hard to listen to which is a shame as without Melissa’s need to be the centre of attention this could have been quite healing for others to tell their story.

This isn’t bad - but just doesn’t compare with the style and delivery of podcasts such as Up and Vanished. I totally get they’re quite different in terms of purpose - but the delivery is just quite poor so far. Will keep listening, but really hope this improves as the podcast does have huge potential!

I really loved this podcast, a great insight into how his actions affected his daughter....I liked it, until she met the victims son that is, I get his whole thing, but I felt like I was listening to a self help podcast. I’ve never heard such a self Righteous person in my life! The tone completely changed and it was painful to listen to while he was talking, I turned it off. It seemed like a strange choice to feature him so heavily. It spoiled it for me. GB

Very interesting insight into victims and the killers families. However the adverts inappropriately break up the immersion and are much more intrusive than they should be. GB

Not sure on this one, I find his daughters involvement in this series quite unsettling for some reason and hearing the son of his final victim talk about his mother’s murder was very disturbing. Don’t think I’ll continue with this and I’ll probably give similar podcasts a swerve in future but if this is your kind of thing you’ll probably find it interesting as it’s well produced, the ads are a bit much though.
