I’ve recommended this to all of my friends. Very good podcast and intriguing. I’m from Commerce, that is mentioned, not far from Winder. Hearing the local history was very interesting. The way he pronounced Hoschton was funny though.
Great story well put together. Would reccomend....now fix your edits. Every episode has a repeated section, a skip, or small jump in the middle of an advertisement abruptly ending the add and picks up in the middle of the narrative of the story again. Very minor but still frustrating none-the-less.
The stories about small Winder had parts that are interesting. But it’s just a story. The listener is just left to hope that the son telling the story is actually being honest. I don’t hear any corroborating evidence to back up these “stories.” There aren’t any facts. Just embellished stories so one would buy into the next big thing, like a movie. Son’s just using Billy Birt’s name and “legend” to make a buck. I absolutely despise listening to Stoney talk about Billy Birt as if he was a Robin Hood figure. Billy Birt killed people. You should never glorify that. Billy Birt did terrible things to people to kill them and all for personal gains. Some “family man” Billy Birt was, he stole from Mr. Larry Evan’s who had his own family to support. Billy Birt “helped people” when he killed 2 elderly people AFTER he already had their mason jars of money? Billy Birt is evil.
Great podcast, be warned, thick southern accents in this podcast can be quite hard to understand at times, if you can get past that, then you’ll love it. Overall, can’t wait for more episodes. One of the best ones I’ve listened to.
Theses been one podcast that I’ve been searching for that made me feel the same as Sh#t Town and this is it!!! Please do lots more !!
I couldn’t stop listening. The intrigue kept me wanting more. Thank you for such a great podcast. So glad there’s new episodes to come! Yay!
Would rather just read about it than listen to someone read aloud about it.
Love this Podcast - well written and produced. My mother-in-law lives in north Georgia so I will have to go by and see some of the sights mentioned in the podcast

EXCELLENT in all caps, on purpose.
Chuck Norris can buy his Walker, texas rangers dvd without any money.
I Love to listen about the real lives, in fact fascinating lives of others! Thanks for sharing the memories and the history that we don’t often get to hear about!
We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly.
