Just started listening to this excellent series. Swisher is a tough and sharp interviewer—usually. Played softball with her good friend Maggie Haberman. Haberman and the NYT led the mainstream news pack that spent 4 years normalizing Trump’s lies and disinformation. Haberman’s attempt to equate Trump’s democracy destroying lies about voting results with “rough politics” falls flat. For four years the NYT sacrificed truth for access, and look what we got: an insurrection on January 6, 2021–led by the President of the United States.

Big fan of Kara, she is one of the best interviewers in the business. She holds powerful people down and gets them to answer her questions, which so few journalists do. Her Interviews with Matze (Parler) and CEO of Uber, made them squirm and I loved it.

I am new to this podcast and I really appreciate Kara’s Swisher interviewing. She does not let anyone off the hook.

Kara Swisher, an outstandingly skilled interviewer. She knows when to listen and let them talk, but keenly picks up on signals and “opaque” answers and probes and pulls to get real answers Even better than Pivot! Sorry Prof G!

CEO of Parler, proves to be a tightrope walker. Totally against violence, threats etc, but jee-whiz it’s not up to him to censor speech on his App. If he didn’t provide the platform, these idiots would just go somewhere else by golly. Appalling. Kara did her usual fine job. How she didn’t reach over and slap this slimball, is amazing.

Kara Swisher is whip-smart and a delight.

Good guests but interviews could be longer

I’m obsessed with this podcast. Compelling, important topics—with a funny, charming and very intelligent journalist as the host. I feel smarter and more informed after listening.

Enjoyed the Esther Perel episode. Kara, you could start referring to Trump as P45 (President 45). I think it would infuriate him no end if he was reduced to a nondescript combination of letters and numbers.

The guests more than make up for Kara’s hubris and gratuitous name dropping

OMG I just love it. It’s so good to hear some interesting people talking about this year and politics but not getting tense! Sarah Cooper and Hillary Clinton were fabulous and relaxing 😌

Kara can access the people other journalists can’t reach and yet manages to get answers to the questions we all want to ask without upsetting anyone. I look forward to more of the same. GB
