Hearing from the people involved in the cases, from law enforcement and prosecutors to relatives make this podcast stand out, along with the very experienced and very easy to listen to hosts. Another great podcast from AudiochuckAs a long time listener to Crime Junkie, I was excited to get into this new podcast, and I was not disappointed. The crimes discussed are intriguing with very interesting first hand interviews with detectives and other people involved in the crime/ investigation. The stories all had surprising twists which I enjoyed. I have only given the podcast 4 stars rather than the full 5 as I felt the rapport between the two hosts felt a little forced at times, with some slightly awkward exchanges. I’m sure this is probably just as they get to know each other more, and I have high hopes for the rest of the series..Score: 4/5

Incredible podcastI’ve always been interested in True Crime and there are so many podcasts that tell you lots about the perpetrators of these horrific crimes whilst neglecting to focus on the victims story but this podcast isn’t one of them. I love how much the hosts genuinely care about the events they’re talking about and the people that were impacted by them. Interesting and informative and their input is fabulous as they both have such a vast wealth of experience and expertise but mostly importantly to me this podcast is done with the greatest respect to the victims and their families..Score: 5/5

"Literally"For an intelligent and accomplished person, Anna-Siga uses the word "lterally" incorrecly. And often! Sometimes twice in the same sentence and many times over any episode. Please have her look up the meaning of a word if she insosts on throwing it around so much. It 'literally' makes my blood boil and 'literally' blows my mind that such dumbness is not not edited out. Literally....Score: 4/5

Great show!Love this show and the concept. Only complaint is often the hosts (especially Anna-Sigga) say these painfully clunky, convoluted sentences that don’t make any grammatical sense. Not sure if they read from a script or what but they could benefit from re-recording some of those moments..Score: 4/5

Not all good.This is the only audiochuck show that I don’t love. The information and production are fantastic but some of the things the hosts say make me cringe. I’ve heard Anna Sigga make comments about a person refusing to take a polygraph test suggesting that they are guilty, which we all know from Crime Junkie just isn’t true. I’m listening to today’s episode On the Back Porch and it’s just kind of disturbing the comments they have on charging someone with this crime when they don’t really have any evidence as to who actually committed it. The attitude of sometimes you just aren’t going to get any more than what they call “he said/he said” circumstantial evidence, but you still should charge one of them for it, and the assertion that the problem is NOT the lack of evidence but instead not having a DA willing to charge someone without enough evidence is very telling of why so many wrongfully convicted people are in prison in the United States. It seems like these two, who really are a microcosm of the American justice system, are far more interested i whether or not they can get a jury to convict than whether or not the person actually did the crime..Score: 3/5

Obsessed new subscriber!We have been a family of true crime junkies for many years ultimately leading my daughter to start her own successful YouTube true crime channel. @Sherrilyndale That being said I just found this podcast and binged the entire thing while driving to and from work! Smart analysisI find this podcast to be very smart and focused on the facts of cases. The hosts certainly have their opinions but that’s not what the bulk of the shows are about. Good, but not GreatLove the cases they cover and the level of detail. This tends to be a “background” true crime podcast I listen to because if I give it my undivided attention, I get frustrated at the lengths the hosts will go to to “prove” that cops can do no wrong. Acknowledging the history, for example, of cops not treating sex workers with the same respect as other victims, does a lot more justice to these victims’ stories than using their names to assert that cops have squeaky clean track records. Given both of their backgrounds, i get it, but if I want to listen (and support with my $!) to truly excellent true crime and reporting, I go elsewhere..Score: 4/5

The stories are not only told to where you feel like you were apart of the investigation but Scott and Anna’s voices are so calming that I use this podcast to help me go to sleep! Really?First of all, wow what a distasteful title “unpacking a murder”. There are actually SEVERAL cheap play-on-words titles which are horribly insensitive to the fates suffered by the victims covered. Secondly, as others have mentioned, far too much Copaganda. It’s ok in a pinch if you’re bored and want a true crime episode, but very flawed overall. Overproduced and often contrived, serious lack of victim-centering..Score: 2/5

Red CarI don't get it. In the beginning of the Cozy Inn episode it is mentioned that a red car was seen the night of the shooting. Then nothing more is mentioned of it til much later in the podcast. Now wouldn't you think that a clue as specific as a red car at the scene of a murder might be the focus of the investigation right off the bat? Either the investigators were not very good at their jobs or the podcast writer some how messed up the timeline..Score: 4/5

Interesting and Respectful: Rare in True CrimeI love true crime so much, and have listened to tons of podcasts. I find myself resenting the fact that other podcasts focus on the story, and how juicy and sensationalized they could make it. Anatomy of Murder explains what happened and the thought processes behind it in a way that is respectful to the victim and their families. This is rare in true crime, and I respect and adore this podcast bc of it! My absolute favorite.Score: 5/5

Anna-Sigga’s voice is annoyingAnna-Sigga, pull the mic away from your mouth. Listening to her hissing her S and her P and B is like nails on a chalk board..Score: 2/5

Not just the big casesI really enjoy listening to these two. I like how they touch on the cases you never heard of. You can only listen to the same story so many times. But I LOVE the opinion & insight of them. So much more informative coming from two people who have been on the other side of the case..Score: 5/5

Thank youI have NEVER listened to a murder podcast… I tend to be the kind to never watch horror movies and the one that doesn’t listen to news since the horror can be to “lingering” but I have listened to these and found them so worth while. To hear the human feature, the detective and prosecutor feature with only a small factual reference to the individuals that committed the crime. THIS is something that in honor of ALL the victims I find myself being way more aware and conscious in my life. Thank you for the educational and well balanced way you tell the stories and paint the pictures of these victims! 💞.Score: 5/5

Easy to follow, great host chemistry!I am always hanging out for the next episode. The amazing hosts are very educated and experienced in their fields and it shows in every episode.
