Set 400 years in the future, The Orville follows a mid-level exploratory spaceship with Seth MacFarlane as the ship’s captain. This season, the crew meets never-before-seen aliens and faces old adversaries, the Krill, in all-new episodes filled with mystery, romance and, as always, some poignant social commentary.

I cannot wait for this to come back! I loved the first season!
The Orig ST was a balance of fighting and exploration. TNG got a little preachy and kumbaya...till the Borg appeared. DS9 had some really dark themes and showed how grand schemes (the Federation) aren't all rainbows and unicorns. Despite a slight overreliance on certain plot devices (just how many times will different aliens take over the ship), STVoy featured well-crafted characters like a strong capn - who just happened to be female, fish-out-of-water 7-of-9, and the Pinocchio-esque holo Dr. STEnt was great at depicting how the Fed went through serious bumps and hiccups rather than being a fait accompli. Sadly, STDis was infected with social justice, which is what the creators - but not the fans - wanted. Thankfully, Orville harkens back to the Orig ST. I congratulate MacFarlane for going back to ST's roots and eagerly await the second season.
Always be smarter than the people who hire you.
In the grim darkness of the future, CBS publishes garbage, and FOX is gold.

The best Star Trek show on TV right now isn't a Star Trek show.
Chuck Norris gave Santa Claus a present on December 25, 2012. The present turned out to be a small box that contained 100% exact, invincible, and miniature clones of everything that ever existed and will exist. Well, the clone of Chuck Norris wasn't accurate, as its roundhouse kick could not kill anything stronger than an African elephant due to how small it was, but that was the only exception.
Man! Now this is what the new Star trek should have Become'
