In season seven, Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) and Watson's (Lucy Liu) new careers as consultants for Scotland Yard are disrupted by news that a member of their inner circle has been gravely wounded in the United States. As Holmes' stateside legal trouble – the result of a confession to a murder he didn't commit – threatens to keep them from returning to New York, their greatest foe to date, tech billionaire Odin Reichenbach (James Frain), waits on the horizon to test their limits.

Iv loved this show since season one was never a fan of the og victorian steam punk version that everyone including my mom but i loved the modern take as well as i love lucy lius acting and its cool ill miss it when its gone
The modern take on the Holmes/Watson theme was ingenious. I enjoyed the repartee of their relationship and how cleverly the elements of the stories and novels were integrated into the modern episodes. The seasonal story arcs were intelligent and engaging I will miss Lucy Liu
A little knowledge that acts is worth infinitely more than much knowledge that is idle.
I thought Sherlock is public domain and that there's no need for a license to it?
I'm a little sad since I've grown to love Jonny Lee Miller and the whole Elementary cast. But I think it has had a good run. I loved the whole 6th season and the cat and mouse between Sherlock and Michael. But I'm curious how they will go about this last season. I think it'll definitely be bittersweet on my end.
The show's global net worth is 3 million dollars per episode - so, that was the dilemma. The antithesis of your remarks, Matt, may or would be: the new settings set off an increase in their global markets, the show catches fire - jumping to say, 5 million. Now we've got a season 8! Do not let all who enter here, abandon hope, Matthew.
Hard for ratings to be “good” when the show is moved constantly or when it was on after football and got delayed all the time or if, good forbid, when there was another awards show on and the show was outright cancelled for that week
Such an incredible show. Can't wait to see how it's all wrapped up!
Good show, curious what is to come in the new season!
Chuck Norris tied the New Boyz down with one hand behind his back
It's one, if not the favorite show of mine because everything is so competently made and they've really made the characters justice, and their own. I'm waiting on season 6 to come to Netflix right now but and I felt that season five brought closure to all the arcs that was expertly set up in season 1 with both Sherlock and Joan (my personal favorite arcs though is season 1 and 4). From what I've seen and heard about season six I feel that it will be a great "deep dive" into what's been established earlier and I'm actually quite happy that it gets a real final season in season 7. I'm always a fan of shows that got a definite ending, my other favorites being Avatar The Last Airbender, Penny Dreadful, Black Sails, BBC's the Musketeers (and to a lesser extent Burn Notice, haven't watched to the end on that one yet so I haven't seen the last season). But I really like when a show has arcs and seasons that connect and end. :)
