Cunanan was an intelligent good looking man, why he wasted his lives. He would be a rich & successful man when he wants bec. he was so intelligent than Einstein, many companies would take him , hire him bec. of his intelligence. He was not raise by his parents correctly. What a waste of lives of Cunanan.

I believe in the 90s ..most people have scary thought of hiv ...wen they know ur gay..ppl stay away.. esp wen he got murdered..they afraid they might get aids if they deal with a gay dead body. N family are not proud Giannis sexuality..so everything was made very discreet to public if possible (but failed)。

I think everyone is wrong about him. I think that what has happened since the death of all these people is that the story was constructed in hindsight, built by cultural elements of society's contemporary beliefs. But is anyone able to put the truth together that was happening inside Andrew's head? There are key elements that people are overlooking. Like the fact that his father could not accept his homosexuality. Today we made a society that only understands "being, or not being gay" little else is discussed. Everyone is saying that what he was seeking was fame and world notoriety. I believe closer to the truth is that he started on path of looking for true fatherly love, not male sexual love, a path of dispelling the gay lifestyle narrative. He did this because his father truly did not love him, and tragically for him his high intelligence raised a periscope in that direction. He became enraged in his disappointment as he entered the pysque's workings of a society that knows no more natural male bonding that has not been sterilized of homosexuality. No more compassion or understanding for the sensitive male in need of masculine love. He probably understood early on that straight America did not give "the personal needs expressed in his personality displays" any space for acceptance. He saw the lies and hypocrisies of people that have been educated by society to accept homosexuality but really don't, and was probably angry. Angry that people who celebrated like a spectacle open homosexuality found an easy lane in life. Angry that his need to be worthy and valued, for falsely being nourished by a father that was actually tacitly implying was not good enough, drove him to draw social nourishment in gays society and lifestyle. But inside he actually never conformed to being "openly accepting of homosexuality", because deep inside he did not believe in it. He verified all its falsehoods. He was too intelligent to not notice it's dead end logic. Gianni Versace represented so much of what was ragging in his reasoning about homosexual society, that I would not be surprised if it was found out he went to Miami just to face him. It is very likely that Gianni Versace had left him feeling worthless at some point in the past, in a very snobby way. This different way of looking at Andrew Cunanan's psychology has become in contemporary culture an "intellectual blind spot", too heavy with self acknowledgement and accountability to even come close to anymore. There are vast voids now in our social intelligence. Like for example; what psychological trauma did these older men he used to survive by afflict him with in order to balance their own humiliation? Poor Andrew, his misfortune was to be born in a time that we have become so ignorant about male morale, personal and character development.

Only recently watched the show, and the sheer talent of the cast was incredible. Edgar Ramirez's performance as Gianni Versace was riveting and Darren Criss's role as Andrew was amazing. The whole aesthetic of the show, from the music and cinematography just make it brilliant. Truly fantastic story, and fabulous acting.

Edgar is a commonly used English given name, from an Anglo-Saxon name Eadgar (composed of ead "rich, prosperous" and gar "spear"). Like most Anglo-Saxon names, it fell out of use by the later medieval period; it was, however, revived in the 18th century, and was popularised by its use for a character in Sir Walter Scott's The Bride of Lammermoor (1819)..
