Just take fresh strawberries and some sugar, and cook them until the strawberries soften and their juices become wonderfully thick and syrupy.

I've made this strawberry compote 3 times now, everytime it has been delicous! My favorite way to use it is on a waffle or ice cream, I have also put it on crepes (the Joy Of Baking recipe) and it was very yummy! Thanks for the recipe! ♥️

Wow, what a great way to get rid of 8lbs of strawberries with about a 2 day shelf life!!! It's really yummy I took hala white sugar to equal part of piloncillo and wow. If you don't speak Spanish Google the word piloncillo and add it to your compote. Thanks a bunch 4 the recipe😚
