This is a fantastic series. There was a lot of history that helped me understand where we are at now. I loved chapter 13 where we heard of candidates who won their races and are regular people like you and me. GREAT JOB, Favreau!

I I've been really wrestling with whether I want to change my party affiliation to Independent from Democratic because of what I see as a failure on the part of the leadership of the Democratic Party to win. This podcast reminds me of why I am aligned with the Democratic Party. We as a party are able to claim as our own some of the most brilliant compassionate people within our political system. And Jon is certainly among them. This podcast examines our history, and our way of being as a nation as an account of how it is that we've gotten to where we are and that we are now faced with a choice. Amazing podcast!
Wide ranging, short but deep dives into the various key aspects of politics today. Although I am Canadian, the struggles and lessons translate across borders. A truly thoughtful and touching series, which had me tearing up during a number of the episodes. Thank you!!
I by chance came across this series the first week it was released, and I’ve been listening to it diligently every week. It has helped reinforce what I believe in, and has motivated me to fight for those things in my community, so for that I say thank you.
As a Canadian who is very interested in US politics this podcast was incredibly interesting. I learned so much, and I am so relieved that there are people in the Democratic Party who want to correct this terrible mistake of Donald Trump getting into power. I was disappointed when it ended. I would have loved to have had a way in which to ask questions? Thank you again
This series is a thoughtful and thorough presentation of what got us to this place in our national history and an insightful and inspiring challenge to each of us — and our democratic leaders — about how we move forward in bold and doable ways to create a more just and equitable American society. Really a must-listen for anyone who cares about democracy, justice, humanity.
This is one of the best things available on the net. Highly educational. 10 episodes in this program is still superb. I finished the entire thing. The best.
Really wanted to like it (I listen to other Crooked pods), but have to echo the same sentiments as some other reviewers. It's over-produced and John's narration sounds elementary. As for content, I expected more analysis - a path forward - not a sentimental rehash of the past. I listened to the whole series, but honestly, it's "just OK."

Terrific podcast....even though it’s based on US politics, it offers valuable food for thought about where politics is at and where it needs to strive towards elsewhere in the world. Hope there will be another season.

Can’t get enough of this podcast, it’s so brilliantly put together. The level of research Favreau and his team have undertaken really comes across, as do the good intentions behind this in-depth dive into the past, present and future of the Democratic Party. As a Brit, American politics should somehow be a little bit removed from my everyday life but what’s going on in America is so important for world politics, that I consider this and other Crooked Media podcasts to be absolutely essential listening. GB
