Hell and Gone Reviews
The reporting on this is amateur hour compared to others I have listened to
Host has inflated ego and makes stupid assumptions/conclusions, rules people out based on gut feeling, and does several other things that are highly unprofessional I guess under the assumption that it will make her seem like an investigator of the hardboiled noir ilk. I’m a few episodes in and will probably listen through but it just seems like an Up and Vanished clone (down to the colloquial ______ & ______ “they done disappeared” name) that is even harder to stomach. Actually, save your time and listen to the Done Disappeared satire of these types of podcasts. I’m all for citizen resources going toward solving cold cases but this one seems of the bumbling variety that is more likely to screw things up for law enforcement than to actually “stay in town until we solve this case”. Don’t make bold statements that you are unlikely to be able to deliver on.
This girls “logic” is very annoying at times. Many times I do not agree with her assumptions or calculations, and that makes it hard to form my own opinion because she pushes her own narrative so hard. Not always a pleasure to listen to, but I’ll continue to listen because it is indeed an interesting case. Credentials aren’t really there, but whatever. Hard to compete with up and vanished, I get it. Great work. Great work. Good luck solving the case!
the music is very distracting as it is too loud. Nice work otherwise. Keep up the excellent work.
I love the content of this podcast and the host is great, however the background music is too loud. It often obscures the conversations and drowns out the host’s voice, making it hard to follow. If the music was quieter, I’d give it 5 stars because the content is great!!
Am I the only one who thinks the host sounds like Julia Roberts? I’m only on my 3rd or 4th episode - but so far so good. Entertaining and well narrated.
Engaging first episode. No problems with audio. Can’t wait for the next episode to come out!
There is an interview in this episode with the victims father that has me weeping alone on the beach.
There's an old saying in the movie business: If Chuck Norris goes more than 2 hours without a blowjob, you better remember one thing... (And then you wait for someone to ask what, and then you go: "A good supply of body bags." )
Will keep listening because I am interested in the case but the whole set up to me feels like a rip off of SKS.
Great podcast fast pace and no messing around highly recommend 👌 GB

Could not listen to it for the annoying vocal fry throughout - shame, it sounded interesting GB
Very easy to listen to and looking forward to another episode. GB
In the sky, there is no distinction of east and west; people create distinctions out of their own minds and then believe them to be true.
Hell and Gone Wiki
In religion and folklore, Hell is an afterlife location, sometimes a place of torment and punishment. Religions with a linear divine history often depict hells as eternal destinations while religions with a cyclic history often depict a hell as an intermediary period between incarnations. Typically these traditions locate hell in another dimension or under the Earth's surface and often include entrances to Hell from the land of the living. Other afterlife destinations include Heaven, Purgatory, Paradise, and Limbo. Other traditions, which do not conceive of the afterlife as a place of punishment or reward, merely describe Hell as an abode of the dead, the grave, a neutral place located under the surface of Earth (for example, see Sheol and Hades)..
