Devious Doctor: The Life and Lies of Dr. Martin MacNeill | Mystery and Murder: Analysis by Dr. Phil Reviews
The first season was very informative. I was familiar with the story but did enjoy learning more information. The season could have been much shorter. Too much going over the same information over and over.
I wish there was a known schedule for when the new episode will be on. It was every Thursday but he seems to be skipping to Friday or later lately.
I cannot understand women who can’t see through other people’s intentions! Especially when that person is your spouse that u spend so much time with!! This Dr is an evil, uncaring, devious man who, I think, has many mental and emotional problems; including low self- esteem!!! He truly deserves whatever punishment he was served with!! The penalty should be extreme, because he has no interest in his children ; it’s all about him!!!! God is good, because this man has to live with what he did forever!!! He will never be at peace!!!
I thoroughly enjoy and take your advice on pretty much all the advice you give and I can get, although we all know, after following you forever that your trained in forensic psychiatry, have done this business for 45 yrs and you are a mandated reporter! With all the respect in the world, we don’t need your resume. Really! We wouldn’t be listening to you I’d you weren’t interesting and informative without the resume, lol! We know you do your “ homework” and that’s me of the real reasons I tune in! And yes it doesn’t matter how flat you make a pancake it has two sides, and there’s no 2 versions of the truth and never reward bad behaviour! Think I tune in much? Lol! Thanks for the advice and everything but I believe in you without the repetition!! Also you should have a 5 min commercial for Robins products before each story! Not every episode , but each story! Hope I wasn’t too critical because I truly believe and have much respect for you and your advice!
But too many promotional ads...
Excellent sorties, told in excellent ways. The only complaint is the adds in the middle of the podcast, it’s pretty off putting to be deep into a murder podcast then suddenly hear “diD you knOw mY wIfe RobIn haS SkiN cArE pRoDuCts” I’d recommend putting them at the start and end to enhance the experience for the listener. Other then that everything is great!
I listened to all 4 podcasts re: Lori Vallow or Mrs. whoevershemarriedtonow. How can she even call herself a mother is an infraction on my sensibility as a REAL mother. Any who love watching your show, daily and listening to your podcasts.
The podcast started off great! I was hooked, but the last two seasons have been hard to follow. Looking forward to the next season & hoping it’s just as good as the first ones.
Ok I love Dr Phil but the skin care ads for his wife are TOO MUCH. I hit FFW four times and he’s still going on about some skin care that no one cares about.
An okay listen. I prefer to have a neutral sounding voice in a podcast. Not one that sounds as if a side has been picked. I stopped listening after 20 minutes or so. Most likely won’t revisit Dr. Phil podcasts. There’s so many more that are easier to listen to.
This is too much time with repetitive descriptions. Podcast would be much better if cleaned up into a quicker delivery
Too much repeated in each new podcast from the previous. Interesting stories but way too wordy and repetitive
Pros: I like the “analysis” - explaining the psyche, process etc, the red flags and behavioural inconsistencies. Cons: Too many ads for Robyn’s skincare lien. Format is similar to the Dr Phil show: too dramatic. Not a fan of unsolved/disputed cases without a PoV offered. The “serial” format. I don’t want to wait a whole week just to listen to the next paper. I’d rather each episode get released at once and we can listen at our own speed.
To many Robin adds, gave up listening.
Absolutely love your Podcasts
Chuck Norris can open locked doors. Without a key.
Fantastic story and so interesting. Just the background music is so annoying.
I like Dr Phil so this is just an extension of his show really. The only downside is the sheer amount of advertisements.
I have sympathy for Gypsy but you do hers and your credibility no favours when you deliberately reshape her story to suit your argument. She testified directly contrary to your narrative about when she realised her real age and when she came to the conclusion she was being abused. Listen to the people you interviewing, it is not your job to talk over the top of her. This reminds me why I gave up on your show a long time ago.
Absolute sensationalised drivel. I was listening in the car and had to pull over and unsubscribe 15 minutes in because the way that he was talking about this crime was making me feel physically ill.
I really enjoy listening to it at night, there is a bit of repetition and recapping but that doesn’t bother me too much. The subject matter is fascinating and dealt with sensitively and in forensic detail. The only problem is that as each episode ends it then jumps to a completely random different episode from other story lines. As I’m often half asleep I end up listening to something that makes no sense before realising it’s hopped onto a different storyline and having to go back to the main search menu, find your page, and search through to work out which episode I’m on next. It would be great if it automatically played the next programme in sequence. Other than that technical issue it’s great. GB
Dr Phil, I’d love you to cover the Robert Durst story.... you get to the heart of what we all think and the plain truth of sociopathic and psychological issues within our society. GB
I could listen to Dr. Phil read the phone book, then add to that my interest in psychology and true crime and usually I have the perfect formula when I listen to this podcast. I have to say though, this recent episode, while the fact that Kyron is still missing is devastating, it doesn’t seem like this story has enough details to spread it out over so many episodes. I feel like I’m getting the same info every Thursday and always the promise of something more but nothing ever delivered other than the only things known: Kyron went missing, the stepmother is a suspect. When our eyes see our hands doing the work of our hearts, the circle of Creation is completed inside us, the doors of our souls fly open, and love steps forth to heal everything in sight.
