They were ordinary men, swept up in the most extraordinary conflict in history. But with the eyes of the world upon them, they found their greatest source of strength in each other. Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and HBO present the story of Easy Company, an elite team of U.S. paratroopers whose World War II exploits are as incredible as they are true. This landmark ten-part miniseries based on Stephen E. Ambrose's non-fiction best-seller recounts the remarkable achievements of a volunteer rifle company that parachuted into France on D-Day, spearheaded the Market-Garden and Rhine offensives, fought the Nazis in Bastogne and the Bulge and captured Hitler's 'impenetrable' Eagle's Nest at Berchtesgaden in 1945.

Band of Brothers Reviews
Just a fantastic series and by far my fave. I can watch this over and over and its just so damn good.
a panegyric to those, mostly kids, who fought to save Europe - extraordinary
Band of Brothers is by far the best WW2 TV show. You become incredibly attached to these characters, and truly appreaciate what the men serving in WW2 did. Band of Brothers is a must watch TV show!!!
Too expensive for me! Can buy the blueray alot cheaper!
This is a fantastic series that everyone should watch. The only problem, as usual, is the price being charged by iTunes. $7 per episode? Really? To buy the blu-ray version in stores that contains a digital copy is only $40. Makes no sense, but then again, all of you content is over-priced.
First of all, I just wanted to thank every member of the 101st Airborn and Easy Company. You people need to show some respect to the men of Easy Company. They went through hell and back for you people. They went through Stuff we should not ever see, or do. Like Bastogne and held the line while they got the crap shot out of them. They saw there friends get blown up and shot to pieces and couldn't do any thing about it. And much, much more show some respect. I highly recommend this amazing series. Also The Pacific and Saving Private Ryan. Thank you Easy Company. Yours truly: Samuel Grant R.I.P Easy Company
Please bring the price down.
Love it! Thank you for showing us the sacrifice these people went through to give us our freedom that we so enjoy today.
$7 per episode. Are you kidding ? No thanks.
Accurate in many ways. Filmed very clean and with respect of what these men and women went through all because they felt it was the right thing to do. I feel like in 2020 especially with what’s going on all around the world these films and actual footage should be presented to children in schools HS because it should be known to never take for granted the life you have and to stop fighting people around you daily. It’s just not worth it. Anyways I got distracted lol. Tom hanks ans crew did a fantastic job. I wish there were more seasons but it still ended nicely. You get attached to each character and it progresses smoothly. Well done
This series is so good. It’s a must watch if you like war movies.
For anyone who like WW2.
There are few shows/ films that I’ve seen in my life time that deserve 5 stars. This is one that deserves it all. I know about 15% of the what you see on film isn’t historically accurate, but that’s ok. This is one of the few WWII productions that give you a sense of realism from the perspective of the Airborne. I am grateful for this show!
Great series from HBO.5 stars.
Best war series ever
Awesome series...watched over and over several times!

Brothers in arms
This is a great miniseries. I’m not sure what high school dropped was in charge of doing the subtitles, but they are horrendous. Missing words, misspelling, and more. I know it seems like a minor thing, but the fact that every episode looks like it was worked on by a 9th grader that got a D in English is a disgrace.
I remember growing up watching this I had the tin can set which disappeared one year. I missed watching it. Thank you for putting it on here
I have seen this series probably a dozen or more times and still sit at the edge of my seat with every passing moment. This is the best WWII series produced! This is a series I continually share with friends who have never seen it because I think everyone needs to watch it at least once so we don’t forget what these men went through.
I love this show so much! The characters are the best and the story is amazing. It really puts into perspective how hard war is.
This series was one of the best I've ever seen. Incredible.
Great is all I can say.
Best Mini Series of all Time!
Easily one of the best WWII movies/mini-series of all time. Reading the book (either first or afterwards) adds even greater understanding to the movie and, if you like the movie and respect the men, you really should read the book. I've watched the entire series multiple times and it never ceases to impress, both in terms of the story and the presentation.
Best war series ever but why does iTunes consistently charge so much. I understand it's a service but I bought the bluray box set instead for $30 at Walmart.
Amazing. Out of all the shows and mini series I have seen, none can beet Band of Brothers. I have watched it many times and it has a very strong emotional affect on me every time. Fantastic acting by a fantastic cast. Even if you are not a fan of history based shows or movies, you can't go wrong with this. An amazing story about truly amazing people. If you haven't seen it, you owe it to yourself to watch it.
5/31/2016 $14.99 on Blu-ray at Amazon
Really imagined what they had to go through. God Bless the men of Easy Company
Revisiting this iconic series in the spirit of Independence Day, I have been reminded of how emotionally and spiritually touching this show is. A must-see for anyone, this show gives re-enactments of true stories with interviews from the actual people involved in these World War II stories. I am reminded whenever I watch this series that much price was spilt for us, and was spilt freely and with amazing courage and dignity. Contains, as would be expected, language and violence. Only the last episode has nudity.
Easy company was full of heroes and thank God they were because the jobs they had could only be done by heroes. This is an amazing mini series with great acting that will keep you thrilled all the way through, it's a must have!!
The best series about WW2
This is a great set of movies. However, Itunes only gives me 20 seconds of each show on my computer even though I've paid for the entire set. The apple download stinks.
What are you smoking? $29.99 on BluRay. Great series, ridiculous price.
The mine craft maker
This is the perfect film(s) to learn about WWII. A high school near me uses this series to teach the class about the war after the pre-dday invasion (June 5,1944). I love history, especially world war two history. This is the perfect series.
This collection is truly a work of art, which successfully conveys emotions and helps one better understand the struggles faced by the men of Easy company. For example the scene in which Easy finds the Nazi concentration camp, my grand father (a member of dog company of the 101st airborne) watched it with me and he said the atrocities he witnessed in that camp and the ones in the movie were almost identical. This movie is a must see for history buffs of all ages.
This is the best war drama ever! Better than any movie because of movies don't have enough time to develop characters. This miniseries does have time and it is the best war drama I have ever seen. By the way episode seven (The Breaking Point) is the best
Second time around that I am viewing this outstanding miniseries. A tremendous tribute to the men who served in Easy Company. Superb performances by all the actors. They easily portray the camaraderie that existed between these men. An excellent job by all those who were involved in this production. 🇺🇸
If you like war movies this is a no brainer, there won’t be a better one ever made. The acting is great, story is very through, the scenes are amazing, you watch the movie and actually get a real sense of how horrible war is, not a typical hollywood glorification.
By far one of the most best series I've ever seen
Very awesome!! Love this series!!
Its a great series but its VERY expensive
I highly recommend watching this and The Pacific. The price is ridiculous, though. :/
Best mini series, best war movie, best story telling, THE best
While it is expensive, I believe it's worth the price. This is one of the greatest series ever created. Bravo.
Very great series
I never really watched it but I saw the trailer it is soooo cool !!!!!!
I wish I could rate it 10 stars. Best ww2 series you can find!
Make more please
I received this series as a gift about three years ago and have watched it a number of times. My uncle's service in the Army during this time always elevated my interest that had been borne from living in Germany in the late 1950's. The acting is excellent, video superb and you will not be disappointed if you purchase the series.
I'm about to become a marine and I absolutely love watching this it gets me pumped up and ready to fight for my country
I think that's all I have to say about this series
I can watch this a thousand times and still want to watch it again. One of my favorite series!
It's not wroth all those episodes for 40$, I would rather wait for them to come back out on tv
Beautiful, historically-accurate, strong characters... BEST SHOW OF ALL TIME
Wow just wow, the directors have created a brilliant, breath taking series. It's very easy to follow, and entertaining I think it's worth the $$$.
Band of brothers is so good because its about WWII and I am a huge fan of WWII! And my fav character is Malarkey
Band if brothers is one of the greatest movies of how it is in war how men from all over the country fight for or freedom and create a bond so strong between one another that know one out side of them or other soldiers will understand.
Definitely worth a watch.
This is my 3rd viewing for Band of Brothers and like many other people say, this show never gets old. After each time I watch it I always appreciate more of it in some way or another. Each episode directed by one of 8 directors perfectly capture the tone, feeling and horrors of war during the European Theatre. It is also produced by the famous Steven Spielberg who directed the similar in style movie “Saving Private Ryan” and next to him Tom Hanks who plays Captain Miller in the film. Band of Bothers is the story of Easy Company, a company of Airborne soldiers who are together from basic training through to dropping into Normandy (D-Day), Carentan, Bastogne and more. During these times they must rely on each other to survive another day and to remain vigilant as the war progresses to its end. The ten episodes that make up the mini-series is not everything you would expect from a war movie, take interesting and likeable characters, realistic depiction of warfare, gritty battlefields and great directors and compile them together. This gives you one of the best WW2 films that you will see, and one that will live on in years to come. Each episodes expands so much on the characters, without likeable characters a show will fail - no doubt. Band of Brothers does it in a way that you truly and genuinely care about each character that has been introduced. With the word “Bothers” in the title you would expect such a thing in which Band of Brothers goes above and beyond to create with flying success, no character ever feels out of place or boring they all stay in their respective place. Each episode always has a challenge each man in Easy company must face and persist through. Wether that be the death of a close friend, a drop in morale or even a battle with leadership. It all comes together and works wonders. If you are looking for a great mini-series and something worth the while to invest your time into watching, Band of Brothers will not only satisfy your desire for a one of a kind WW2 film; but your outlook on life itself and appreciation for the men who served.
A great series. Had an accurate depiction of war. But I wish Steven Spielberg directed the entire series. Worth 80%.
I lost my box set of this in the divorce. Can’t wait to watch it all over again - tissues at the ready!
Shanks for the app
Quite simply the greatest series ever made for television-regardless of genre. Easily the greatest war production ever for either TV or the big screen. Superb acting, production first rate and the portrayal of characters is done in such a way that it takes nothing away from the soldiers, who incidentally appear at the end of the series in interviews about their life events that the series is based on.
What more can I say apart from Amazing!
This is the best war series and one of the best TV series ever made. It also bring great tribute to the fallen and survivors members of the 506th American Airborne, and portrays what an amazing role they played to lead towards VE Day. I am 16 and look up to these heroes.
Best portrayal and telling of how war was. And the fact they used the explanation of soldiers from the front line to tell the story and comment on their own perspective of the film. Just mind blowing and very true to those it follows
One of the best HBO series ever. I was transfixed watching it & then had to own it. I never tire watching it. Highly recommend it to anyone.
Band of brothers is without doubt the greatest war series ever made. Watch this once a year and never get tired of it. The characters are fantastic and really shows the heartache of battle and friendships. Could not recommend higher.
Awesome McAwesome Man
Band of Brothers is a great miniseries ever because it is the true story about these men and the challenges they had to face (and it's not some Hollywood twist) I also like the battle scenes
Kuma Games Gamer
THE BEST SHOW MANKIND HAS EVER THOUGHT UP AND ALWAYS WILL BE. MAN HAS CREATED SOMETHING THAT MAN CANNOT SURVIVE WITHOUT: BAND OF BROTHERS!!!!! if I were lost on an island and I had a tv and on show to watch, it'd be Band of Brothers. Nough said. Btw, Bruce Willis, Sean Payton, and the guy who plays winters in this show( sorry don't know his name) all look alike. BAND OF BROTHERS FOR LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I give Band of Brothers an infinite amount of stars. Although I wish it would be on tv more.
The people that were involved in this war are incredible people because they didn't just go through this horrific war but they also went through the Great Depression. You really get into this movie cause you get to know the characters and the actors & directors are awesome! I watch it over & over again!
Absolutely the best historical mini series ever done.
I love this series. It really captures what these men went through and it has amazing special effects.
The Best of movies, in my opinion, are true war stories such as these! Fantastic!!
Best war movie ever they didn't hide nothing that was going on during WWII. This is the kind of movie that learn about the war without being bored to death. Watching this movie kept me at the edge of my seat literally.
Overall I think band of brothers is a great show that teaches about world war 2
Band Of Brothers is absolutely amazing!!! Either as good or even better than saving private ryan and pearl harbor!!! Everytime i watch these movies im just like OMGGGGG!!!!!!!!
B baller 885947332028584
Oh my god! I love the band of brothers! I told people about this and they say it's the best. And it is!!! It's so awesome !
The best miniseries/ single movie/ tv show of all time. The acting is outstanding, the story is almost completely paralled with the book, and the auctual story is legendary. I think the acting is so good because when this was made there were no BIG actors. The ones most recognizable were Ron Livingston (Nixon) and Donnie Wahlberg (Lipton) and in 2001 they weren't that popular. This miniseries probably made the careers of several actors because it was done so well. I read the book and it is by far my favorite book of all time and I noticed only like 3 slightly major differences. Stephen E Ambrose wrote this book because he interviewed Winters, Lipton, and a few others for his book D-Day and this was considered his side project. If I were to drop the names "Band of Brothers" and "D-Day, the book" almost everyone I know would think of Band of Brothers first including myself. This is a must for anyone who is even slightly interested in history or WW2.
Person of Few Words
It is very easy(no pun intended) to fall in love with Band of Brothers. It is a masterpiece all the way through.
An amazing action packed series in which Tom Hanks captures everything needed for an outstanding war season. It was as good as the series brother: the pacific. This is sure to become a timeless classic.
Can someone here can please let me use there Appel account so I can watch this movie
This is the best collection of all time
This is a master piece!
Its hard to believe that men just like you and me sacrificed their lives for their country and for what they believed in under the most unbelievable hardships a man can face. It's such a great display of the heroes in our past that shaped the way our world is today
This show is beast. End of story
I was an ex ROTC Cadet in Toccoa not far from Currahee mtn. We had a huge respect for that rich history and Col. made us watch this film. The film is wonderfully made, and could not have been done better. An accurate and historic account of the 101st Airborne. Every time our cadets ran up Currahee we would think of this film and that just well.... that made us extremely proud. Well done Band Of Brothers, and God bless the 101st!
I've been watching this series since i was 7 i own it, and it is the best of any kind of film ever.
Amazing mini series
Thank whichever God the employees at Apple worship, I have been waiting for years for these HBO Miniseries to come to iTunes.
'Band of Brothers' is the ne plus ultra of contemporary takes on World War II and has influenced countless works in the decade since it aired. Premiering the Sunday before the 9/11 attacks, it, much like its contemporary the Lord of the Rings trilogy, wove itself into the new reality of the 21st century, embedded deeply into anyone who saw it, either on HBO or to a far greater extent on digital disc afterward. It went to war with the servicemen in Iraq and Afghanistan, who perhaps saw in its depiction of brotherhood a cohesion and moral certainty their own experiences lacked; an inspiration to live up to. This is despite, or due to, the fact that BoB, as its fans affectionally call it, is hardly obviously sentimental. Its greatest single episode, "Bastogne", is a love story without romance, a Christmas story with no holiday, told almost until the end with no score whatsoever. Its most dew-lit, soft-focus episode, "Points", contains within it two of the harshest incidents in the entire show, one of which resonates deeply with its fans' contemporaneous experiences in America's current wars. Peppered throughout are famous, or soon-to-be famous, faces, from David Schwimmer to Michael Fassbender, but the star of the show is Damian Lewis, who as the "biggest brother" among equals, Dick Winters, has the most difficult task of all: to act a purely good man. With Ron Livingston's patented cynical wryness as his foil and soulmate, Lewis Nixon, they lead a cast that is uniformly excellent and clearly committed to creating not just a TV show but a document and a tribute to the very real men whose experiences they would be inhabiting. Special mention to Ross McCall whose Jewish soldier carries a heavy burden of discovery and vengeance. QUALITY OF DOWNLOAD: Disappointing. The HD download is HD resolution, but merely of acceptable quality. If HBO wants this to be an alternative to the (even more expensive) Blu-ray version, it needs to recompress this. The banding in the cloud scenes of "Day of Days" and the noise in background leaf and grass movements are distracting. At this price point and at these download sizes, the video quality should be impeccable, even considering that every other shot, as in the Blu-ray, is filmed on deliberately grainy cameras. That deliberate graining, and the handheld camera work that defines so much of BoB's combat choreography, DEMANDS impeccable video quality.
You will never regret the decision to buy this mini-series. When I first saw it I was thinking "woah, this will revolutionize war films". And ever since, I've never felt the same about movies and shows (excluding The Pacific, which I also encourage you to buy)
Finally! The series is out not only the music!
I absolutely love this series!
The bad irishman
The Band of Brothers series is one of my favorite pieces of film to watch. I never get tired of watching them because they are so interesting and you learn new things from each episode every time you watch them. The cast is great as well as the directors and is just a very great series to watch. Also, they had Dick Winters ( the soldier whose story the seires is mostly revolved around) watch the series and he said that just about every one of the events in the series were almost exactly how he remembered it in real life. Great series and highly recommend it.
I have had the disc set for 3 years now. Have watched this movie at least twice a year. Every time you watch there will be something else you have not seen the time before. Well written, produced and the actors are the absolute best. I would rate the a ten if I could.this is a Great price. A MUST SEE MOVIE.
Band of Brothers is a beautifully crafted mini-series that takes a shockingly in depth view on the men of Easy Company as they tour through war torn Europe. Over the course of the series, you come to know each of the men which engrosses you into the story. With a large and talented ensemble cast and extremely high production value, prepare for the best, most engaging thing ever captured on film. 5/5 without question.
I watched this in 2008 via free BluRay download.
...Make it "Band of Brothers", and definitely get the hi-def. I watch this series at this time every year. It does an excellent job of capturing a time and sense of purpose difficult to describe. I loved "Deadwood", "The Wire", "Battlestar Galactica", and "Rome", but this one was the best.
This is by far the greatest television series ever. I have seen it countless times and I am moved, exhilarated, entertained and rewarded every time.
How large are the files
Glad itunes finally got Band of Brothers I believe it is the best miniseries ever.
Best mini series ever!!!!!!
While not 100% historicity accurate, this series does deserve multiple viewings. So much detail. Truth be told it does take viewing at least three time to recognize all the characters. I watch this series at least once a year.
ABOUT TIME ITUNES GETS BAND OF BROTHERS!!!! First, let me say that 49.99 is a little expensive for a whole season when you can buy the box set for less. But, I think it's worth it. This is probably the best mini series ever. Better then The Pacific! It has an amazing cast and a timeless story. This is a must have for anyone that is a history buff or WW11 buff.
