This is my story, these are my opinions, this is my experience. It's something that's ongoing, something thats been a lifetime (but mainly the last four years) in the making. This is the story of how I started my journey, how I lost 30 lbs, how I gained 30 lbs, and how I got where I got now.

Love how real you are. This was just what I was looking for. Ps your outro... the best 👌. I use to be so on top of my shit. But the last year while travelling around Canada, the only form of exercise I have done was and is snowboarding.. as you can imagine.. I've stack on a bit of weight.. I think I need to get back into immersing myself in everything health and fitness. Pinterest here I come! Thank you.

I came across your channel looking up reviews for the tarte mermaid palette. I ended up watching this video and I just had to tell you, your journey resonates with me so much! I never yo yo dieted, I could never even get over the first week of any healthy change. Last year this time, I had spent a few months really educating myself about food, nutrition, etc, and decided a lifestyle change was what I needed. I did it, and I lost 30 pounds in 4 months. After that, I struggled over the summer....too many celebrations and vacations where I felt stifled by my new diet choice of avoiding processed foods and sugars. I fell off, and though I've managed to keep 25 out of the 30 pounds off, I felt miserable. I started again a few weeks ago, because I've spent the last year after I fell off feeling miserable and I felt so much better and happier when I was eating clean and empowering myself. I would recommend the book "The Obesity Code" by Dr Jason Fung, if you are interested in learning more about nutrition and the way our culture has shifted to make unhealthy foods and eating patterns normal. It really had a ton of great info and perspective that has stuck with me. I find it helps keep me motivated to have these things in my mind, and I feel like even though my health and fitness journey hasn't turned out as I expected it to, I feel like every step along the way has happened for a reason. Falling off seems like it helped me, because I feel like it will be good to remember these times when I was feeling miserable and low energy and unhealthy, and reaffirm why I am making the healthier choices every day, even when they do require a lot more focus, determination, and prep work. I have osteoarthritis in my knees, so my weight loss had to come more from diet change rather than exercise. The ketogenic lifestyle is the one I've landed on, and there have actually been good studies done that show it helping a lot of different medical conditions. I know that the 4 months I stuck to it was amazing....I went from feeling bloated, gassy, fog-brained, and borderline depressed, to feeling positive, motivated, and energized. Once I got over that first couple of weeks of my body adjusting to it, I felt amazing. I will continue to watch your channel and I hope you find a path that makes you happy and healthy as well! I hope you check out the book, I think you would really like it. I believe if you sign up for a free trial of audible by amazon, you could get it as your free audiobook. That is how I "read" it (well, listened, I guess lol). Thank you for sharing your story!
